The Details
This beautiful luxury home sits on the edge of a picturesque lake with a fab enclosed terrace where you can gather with loved ones whilst soaking in the surroundings. Lakeside is a modern retreat that sits amidst a number of waterfront homes in Cornwall, offering a peaceful place to unwind with your nearest and dearest.
When you arrive, you’ll love the bright open-plan living space that has a large sliding glass door that opens up onto a lakefront terrace. Get comfy on the sofa with your morning coffee as you plan the day ahead or enjoy a movie on the wall-mounted TV. When the sun is shining, slide open the glass doors and let the outside in, or step out onto the terrace and relax in the alfresco seating as you gaze out over the water. There’s a further living room on the first floor, which is ideal for a more cosy afternoon spent reading or catching up with your loved ones.
The terrace is also home to your very own private hot tub, which offers a nice touch of luxury to your stay. Hop in with a glass of bubbles as the sun begins to set and the stars come out above. And, there's a BBQ out here too, should you wish to try your hands at grilling up some delicious local produce.
The open-plan living space is also where you’ll find the modern kitchen that has all the amenities and appliances you need to prepare delicious feasts during your stay. You can then dine together at the table in the living space or take your meals outside on the terrace in the fresh Cornish air.
When night falls, Lakeside sleeps eight guests across four wonderful bedrooms, all of which offer super-comfy super-king beds that guarantee a peaceful night’s sleep. There are two bedrooms on the first floor, with elegant ensuite bathrooms that feature jacuzzi bathtubs and powerful showers. Then, on the ground floor, you’ll find two more spacious bedrooms that share a large accessible wet room.
Lakeside is on the famous Retallack Resort, and during your stay you will also have free membership to the indoor heated pool, health-club and gym that are located on-site.
Slow things down and soak up the view as ducks glide across the lake, or cast a line and try your hands at fishing straight from your own private terrace. When it’s time to explore, you’re just minutes from Padstow Harbour, Wadebridge and Newquay, with some of the South West’s most stunning beaches, including Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth, right on your doorstep.
