You should know
- Some of the pods are dog friendly at an additional cost of £20 for one dog. An additional dog is an additional £5, this is per stay, not per night.
- The owners also have highchairs and cots available to hire - infants stay for free!
- An allocated parking space is provided per pod, this is not immediately outside your pod so please be prepared to carry luggage to your pod.
- Some pods have several steps to access.

This collection of eight uniquely designed woodland pods offers couples and solo travellers a wonderful base from which to explore the wonderful Lake District National Park. Situated just three miles from Bowness on Windermere, these lovely pods might just be the perfect choice for your next romantic retreat.
The pods all sit on the site of a popular country pub, The Brown Horse Inn, and each one has been individually decorated to the highest of standards.
After a day out wandering the nearby trails, skipping stones on the calming shores of Lake Windermere, return back to your comfy cosy cabin for an evening of peace. Tuck into a good book as you sit out on your private deck, breathing in the fresh Lakeland air and enjoying the marvellous views of the nearby hills and woods. Inside, you also have a mounted smart TV, so you can enjoy a movie night or box set marathon.
When night falls, hop into your king size bed for an uninterrupted peaceful night’s sleep. Each cabin also has its own modern ensuite bathroom with a large rainfall shower for a bracing morning soak, and luxury toiletries and bathrobes are also provided.
Each cabin comes with its own kitchenette, with a microwave, toaster and an under counter fridge. There is also tea and coffee making facilities for that all-important first cup of the day. If you don’t fancy preparing your own food, then you can always pop to The Brown Horse Inn, which is just a short hop away.
If you want to venture out and explore the local area, there are plenty of amazing walks nearby. You can walk Orrest Head, a beautiful hillside hike on the eastern shores of Lake Windermere; or why not take the ferry from Bowness across the lake before walking to the fantastic Wray Castle?
