This gorgeous retreat for two is tucked away on Scotland’s wild west coast. A remote studio hideaway, it offers everything you need to escape the everyday indulging in loch-side luxury, where you can enjoy starlit soaks in an incredible hot tub.
Knoydart is far more than just off the beaten track. Accessible only by boat or an 18-mile hike across the mountains, arriving here is a truly unforgettable experience. This raw, untouched landscape sets the scene for your romantic getaway amidst the trees, with wild swimming spots, waterfalls and beach strolls on your doorstep.
This self-contained studio for two is tucked into its own woodland setting and designed with romance and relaxation in mind. Inside, you’ll find a grand antique-style canopied super-king size bed that can also be a twin on prior arrangement. The bed features crisp white linens, and underfloor heating keeps things cosy year-round. French doors open to a private balcony, which is the true star of the show, offering incredible loch views and some comfy outdoor seating. This is the perfect place to unwind with an evening drink as the sun begins to set, gazing out over the water.
If you fancy some extra indulgence, hop into your private hot tub, which is also perfectly positioned on the deck, overlooking the loch. Unwind in the hot water, soaking in your surroundings in true style as the mood lighting and massaging jets do their thing. And, with zero light pollution, you can stargaze to your heart’s content, watch for shooting stars, or even catch a glimpse of the Aurora Borealis dancing across the sky from November to February.
Back inside, Knoydart has a fab, well-equipped kitchenette that includes everything from Smeg appliances and a Nespresso machine to a dishwasher and full-sized fridge-freezer. This makes preparing romantic meals for two a joy!

When you’re ready to explore, the wilds are right on your doorstep. Take a shoreline stroll, a lochside sauna after your wild swim, hike one of three nearby munros, or kayak through secret coves. For a dose of local culture, wander 10 minutes to The Old Forge – Britain’s remotest pub – now proudly community-owned, or visit the village tearoom and pottery studio.
Your escape can be as adventurous or indulgent as you like. Book a ranger-led 4x4 wildlife tour or try your hand at fishing and cook your catch over a beach fire. Go foraging, take to the trails on an e-bike or dive into a wellness session with local yoga, massage, reiki or breathwork practitioners. Want a night off cooking?
