This charming Grade-II listed, three-bedroom cottage is bursting with character. With many of its original features restored, Kittiwake Cottage is the finest setting to immerse yourself for short or long retreats in the enchanting village of Port Isaac. Exposed beams, sash windows and a large fireplace with a log burner, only begin to paint the picture of this delightful former fisherman’s cottage dating back to the 1700s. The deceptively large, two-floor cottage has interiors that evoke a sense of coastal vintage, and while the property has been completely renovated to bring the comforts of modern-day, its personality and quirks are celebrated throughout.
A lovely, beamed lounge offers two large super-comfy sofas which are ideal for evening snuggling while watching the 65 inch smart TV, and you’ll find board games too for nights of family fun.
A chic, modern kitchen includes Neff ovens, induction hobs and dishwasher, coffee grinder and toaster, everything you will need for cosy meals with friends at the rustic wooden dining table. A large fireplace and log burner will keep you toasty on chillier evenings. To help you get settled in you will find your fridge and kitchen stocked with some essentials, and on your first morning, a bakery hamper will be delivered to your door with fresh bread and pastries.
Three luxurious bedrooms, two with king size beds and one with a super-king link bed, will provide a relaxing night’s sleep thanks to the sumptuous bedding and welcoming colour palette of muted pastels and cosy fabrics. All have plenty of storage space and the stylish ensuite bathrooms feature walk-in power showers, heated towel rails and complimentary toiletries.
There is an additional family bathroom, a handy utility room with a washer/dryer and also a cosy study with a desk, armchair and additional storage space for your convenience. Outside you will find a private courtyard which has shared access.
As well as visiting the two Michelin-starred restaurants within 10 minutes' stroll, you can enjoy exploring the 14th century fishing village of Port Isaac with its winding streets and busy harbour. Featured in the TV show Doc Martin, its granite and whitewashed old cottages are extremely photogenic, and it's a real pleasure simply to stroll around the narrow lanes. From here you can take fishing and boat trips or walk the rugged Cornish coast.

Kittiwake Cottage is gorgeous. So well equipped and beautifully decorated. The bread and pastries basket delivered on our first morning was a delightful touch and most welcome. In the centre of Port Isaac village, the Golden Lion pub and Mote for coffee and cocktails were a stone’s throw away. Advise you set your satnav to Port Isaac Harbour. We set ours to Kittiwake Cottage and would have got stuck had we not abandoned satnav directions. Fabulous cottage, gorgeous village, a lovely week away.
