Situated in the peaceful town of Aberaeron, on a quiet street overlooking the harbour, this charming home-from-home offers up to eight guests a superb coastal stay. From the outside, this is a quintessential seaside home, with beautiful picture windows and bold detailing. And when you step inside, the home offers an abundance of old world-charm with hardwood floors, exposed stonework and incredible sea views.
Gather with your loved ones in the open plan living space, which has a cosy lounge at one end with giant glass doors that open up to the outstanding harbour view. This is a great place to breathe the fresh sea air in summer or stay cosy in winter as you watch the boats coming and going. This vantage point also offers a delightful view of the amazing sunsets afforded to you throughout your stay.
Just off the lounge is the supremely modern kitchen, with its sleek work surfaces and modern appliances. A kitchen island, complete with wine fridge, offers plenty of space for preparing delicious meals, which can be enjoyed on the dining table that sits between the lounge and kitchen.
On warm sunny days head out to the peaceful garden terrace where some outdoor seating offers a delightful spot to enjoy a morning coffee. There’s also an alfresco dining table out here, which makes summer lunches outdoors a breeze.
When night falls, head back inside and enjoy a relaxing dip in the deluxe, free-standing bathtub in the beautifully tiled bathroom. This is the ideal place to unwind after a day exploring the rugged coastlines that surround you.
Then, when eyes grow weary, head to bed in one of the four nicely furnished bedrooms that offer up comfy beds and a fantastic night’s sleep. Two of the bedrooms are ensuite, with a third benefitting from a “Jack & Jill” arrangement.
The charming seaside town of Aberaeron is a joy to explore, with its colourful Georgian houses, bustling harbour and lively atmosphere. Wander along the waterfront, browse independent boutiques and sample the town’s famous honey ice cream, or tuck into freshly caught seafood at one of the harbourfront restaurants. Just along the coast, you’ll find the sandy beaches of New Quay, where you can take dolphin-spotting boat trips or enjoy kayaking and paddleboarding in the bay.
Inland, the Ceredigion countryside offers endless walking and cycling trails through rolling hills, forests and along the scenic Ystwyth Trail. Nature lovers can explore the Cambrian Mountains, a hidden gem of wild beauty, while culture seekers can visit Aberystwyth for its arts scene, castle ruins and the National Library of Wales.
