The detail

Perched on the hillside, overlooking lush tropical forest and Barbados’ Platinum Coast, this contemporary villa offers plenty in the way of luxury and relaxation. Start your day with a dip in the infinity pool before having breakfast out on the terrace while you enjoy the view. It’s a short stroll down to a quiet beach with crystal clear waters where you can snorkel and discover an underwater world teeming with colourful marine life. Back at the villa, get the BBQ going and sit out late into the evening, watching the spectacular sunsets over the sea.

The interior of the house feels bright and open with big spaces for entertaining and enormous windows allowing you to enjoy the view while letting in plenty of natural light. The living space is double height and you can open up sliding glass doors out onto the terrace, extending the area outdoors. To one side of the space you’ll find a well equipped kitchen, right next to the BBQ out on the terrace. There’s a dining table in the centre and a comfy sofa and armchairs gathered around a TV on the other side.

There are four bedrooms, each with its own style but all designed to feel spacious and relaxing. There are three double rooms, the largest of which overlooks the living space and enjoys those spectacular views out to sea. This room also has its own sitting area and a bit of desk space. The other two doubles have direct access out onto a private garden where you can relax in the hammock and get stuck into a good book. There’s also a twin room where you’ll notice a Nordic theme in the decor and views out to the garden.

The outdoor spaces help you make the most of the spectacular location, surrounded by the lush tropical vegetation and you might get the occasional visit from the local Green Monkeys. The wraparound terrace has a covered dining space, allowing you to enjoy your meals alfresco in the comfort of the shade.

The villa is located in a small private development, elevated on a ridge over the West Coast. This means you’ll have plenty of peace and quiet as well as stunning views. This part of the island is renowned for its soft, golden sands and clear, warm waters where you can snorkel or dive amongst coral reefs and a wide variety of marine life. It’s also just a short drive to the bustling Holetown with shopping, dining and nightlife on offer. If you fancy a round of golf, the Royal Westmoreland course nearby has breathtaking views from many of the holes. Round off the day with a boat trip, exploring more of the beautiful coast and enjoying a cocktail as you watch the sunset.
