The detail

Get off the tourist trail and discover the real Croatia at House Plage Cachee, a glamping holiday home on the beautiful island of Hvar. With the backdrop of untouched nature on one side and the Mediterranean sea on the other, it is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle.

There are five glamping tents on the site, each sleeping two, with the option of adding a bed for a child. They can be rented individually for a couples' romantic escape, or as a whole to accommodate for big groups of up to 10 (including four children).

Each tent comes complete with a king size bed with stylish yet comfortable bed linen and bohemian furnishings. There is also a desk and director's chair as the interior blends rustic with luxury. The decked wooden floor inside leads outside to a terraced area with seating in order to take in the beautiful surroundings and enjoy the sunshine. Each tent is also accompanied by a bathroom, which sits on the opposite side behind a wooden panel, complete with sink, toilet, and shower. This can also act as a dressing room, with a large mirror and basin sitting on a restored workman's bench.

A fully equipped kitchen comes with a fridge, washing machine, hob, and all the cutlery, crockery, and pots and pans to create culinary delights. These can be enjoyed in the stunning covered dining area right at the water's edge, which has a table and chairs big enough to seat 12 people. There is also further comfy seating here to enjoy a drink after dinner, while the use of a barbecue means even the food can be prepared outside.

Perhaps the most glorious thing about House Plage Cachee is that it comes with its own beach, meaning guests can relax on one of the loungers or take a dip in the sea in complete peace and quiet. There is also a boat berth for those who want to get out and explore the turquoise waters even further.

Hvar Town with its yacht-lined front is a short drive away and from here boat trips head to the unspoiled Pakleni Islands. Alternatively, Stari Grad is the oldest town in Croatia and home to beautiful Renaissance architecture.
