Learn moreThe Hoglet Houses are quaint and cosy glamping cabins tucked away in a tranquil slice of North Yorkshire countryside. With both “Summer” and “Hibernation” Hoglets on offer, there’s something for every season, whether you want to while away days relaxing in a peaceful meadow with the sun on your face, or spend your time cosying up next to a roaring fire with your nearest and dearest.
The Summer Hoglets are open from April to November and their Hibernation Hoglets are available from November through to March.
The Hoglets, which sleep four people each in one double and two singles, feature wonky walls and windows, quirky round doors and a true fairytale feel. And, on top of that, you’ll receive indulgent Belgian hot chocolate on arrival.
Whichever Hoglet you choose, you’ll love the rustic, comfy interiors, with wooden walls and log-burning fireplaces. There are also flickering candles and twinkling fairy lights, that create a wonderful atmosphere. Dig into a good book on your comfy sofa as the flames flicker away, or head outside into the tranquility of the meadow where you can light a firepit and soak in your beautiful surroundings. Toast marshmallows right outside your door before enjoying a peaceful night’s sleep in the cosy comfort of your Hoglet. For the “Summer Hoglets,” guests need to bring their own bedding, while optional luxury Egyptian cotton bed linen and soft fluffy towels can be added to winter bookings for the “Hibernation Hoglets” on request.
The toilets and showers are conveniently located just behind Hogletton. Their award-winning facilities have everything you need to keep your stay comfortable and hassle-free.
When it comes to food, you can choose from tasty meal options and have them delivered straight to your Hoglet House whenever it suits you. Easy, delicious and stress-free! If you want to fire up the BBQ, you can grab a tripod from reception for a small added cost, which you can use to grill up some delicious local produce.
Eco-friendly firelighters are also on hand to get those flames going guilt-free. And, if you need a few bits and bobs, you can swing by the little shop at reception where you’ll find all the essentials - from firelighters and matches to tent pegs, cold drinks and ice creams. Just ask if you need anything, they’ve got you covered.
Guests are invited to explore Baxby Manor, located on the edge of Husthwaite village. Built in 1308, the Manor sits perfectly between the stunning Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorkshire Moors, offering a wealth of breathtaking scenery right on the doorstep. Though nestled in peaceful countryside, the Manor is just a few miles from the charming market towns of Thirsk and Easingwold. For those looking to venture further, the historic city of York - with its iconic gothic cathedral, winding medieval streets and lively cafes - is only 17 miles away.
