The detail

Nestled between the imposing beauty of Helm Crag and Silver Howe sits the resplendent Helm View. This attractive, recently renovated holiday home is immaculately presented and offers wonderfully bright and adaptable accommodation which is full of light and welcoming warmth. It boasts the most stunning, tranquil setting with both indoor and outdoor entertaining areas and simply superb views in all directions thanks to a design featuring large windows which let in masses of light and open up the views.

Helm View boasts four elegantly furnished bedrooms, three of which are located on the ground floor, offering great accessible accommodation. There is a spacious master bedroom with an ensuite located on the first floor with its own stairway, comfortable seating area and superb views, offering a tranquil retreat away from the hub of the house. The further three bedrooms on the ground floor offer two king size bedrooms, one ensuite and a further bedroom with twin beds, comfortably sleeping four – the perfect kid’s hideout room away from the adult spaces.

The house has a lovely flow, with the open plan kitchen/snug being the heart of the house, offering all the cooking amenities required for a large group. The kitchen boasts a huge table with bench seating to comfortably accommodate 10 guests for leisurely breakfasts or hearty roasts. The modern kitchen has sliding doors onto the most beautiful terrace overlooking the flowing stream that runs down the side of the garden.

Just off the kitchen is the comfortable lounge which is the perfect place to relax after a long day spent exploring the stunning surroundings. With a welcoming wood-burning stove, comfortable seating, books, games and a scenic reading corner, it’s a place the whole family can enjoy together whatever the weather.

Outside, the expansive, terraced garden wraps the house with walkways and seating areas, with a waterfall at the northernmost tip of the property creating a beautifully flowing stream that runs down the edge of the garden. There is a flat lawn, perfect for outdoor games and a dining terrace with a hot tub for those lazy afternoons soaking up the sun. The beautiful garden is completed with a detached cedar-built garden room with another ensuite shower room, the perfect garden room/dressing room for the hot tub or a hang-out space for older children – it boasts a comfortable corner sofa, TV, xBox and fridge.

Helm View is within strolling distance of Grasmere, an ideal spot for a relaxing drink or an evening meal in one of the many highly regarded traditional Lakeland pubs or restaurants. A short drive takes you to Ambleside, Windermere and Keswick where you will find plenty to satisfy any interest, whether that is water sports, cycling, hiking or simply sightseeing in the glorious surroundings of the Lake District national park.
