This pair of beautiful yurts sit in a peaceful slice of Herefordshire countryside, offering you and your loved one a remarkable off-grid location for your next romantic retreat. The yurts - Gabriel’s Yurt and Mimi’s Yurt - are both warm and inviting, and each offer plenty of privacy, with superb access to Herefordshire’s rolling hills.
Step off the grid and into nature. All accommodation here offers a true back-to-basics escape - think solar-powered lighting, no mains electricity and no WiFi. It’s the perfect chance to unplug and truly switch off.
Up first is the charming Gabriel’s Yurt. This exquisite yurt is wonderfully furnished and decked out with cosy touches that will make your stay all the more comfortable. Gabriel’s consists of two yurts, one a bedroom and the other a kitchen, both of which offer amazing views of the Black Mountains.
On summer days, you can while away the afternoon with a snooze in your own hammock, tied between two trees. Then enjoy a luxurious soak in the private wood-fired hot tub with a drink in hand as the sun begins to set. The kitchen yurt is fully kitted out with everything you need to whip up a feast, including a double gas stove, hot water and a few thoughtful essentials. There's even a BBQ area for alfresco grilling!
When night falls, Gabriel’s Yurt wraps you in comfort with soft bamboo bedding, a thick natural mattress and sheepskin blankets - perfect for snuggling under starry skies. Before bed you can pour a mug of hot chocolate, pick a book from the shelf and unwind by the crackling fire. This is escapism at its finest.
Up next is the equally magical Mimi’s Yurt. This spacious Turkomen yurt, paired with a charming round-wood cabin for your kitchen and bathroom, is made for dreamy digital detoxes and romantic escapes. And for the brave at heart there’s an invigorating outdoor shower with sweeping valley views stretching all the way to the Skirrid and Black Mountains. However, if you fancy something a bit more luxurious, head into the yurt and enjoy an indulgent soak in the gleaming copper tub, where you can let the world melt away in peace. This yurt also makes use of wonderful bamboo bedding, thick natural mattresses and sheepskin throws, which combine to guarantee a peaceful night’s sleep.
On warm days, step into your own private garden with a crackling firepit - the perfect perch for stargazing under the Milky Way. Set within the evolving landscape of Goytree Farm, Mimi’s is surrounded by a growing food forest. Guests are welcome to pick apples from the trees, with future harvests of hazelnuts, cobnuts, almonds and walnuts just on the horizon.
Mimi’s kitchen is equally well-equipped, allowing you to wine and dine yourselves in style, and again, there’s a BBQ outside for some summertime grilling.
With the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons on your doorstep, this is prime walking country. Hike the dramatic Skirrid, then reward yourself with a pint at the legendary Skirrid Mountain Inn. Take on Pen y Fan, Sugar Loaf or the Cats Back for a mountain fix, or stroll the waterfall trails of “Waterfall Country.” For something truly memorable, walk Hatterall Ridge all the way to Hay-on-Wye. Don’t miss the ruins and pub at Llanthony Priory - a perfect Ramble and Roast combo.
