Picture the most beautiful property you’ve ever seen and it still won’t quite come close to Golden Meadow. Elegant, homely and contemporary, this coastal retreat perches on a hillside in a sleepy Devon hamlet.

A special spot to catch up with friends and family, the lounge on the lower ground floor is the kind of space you won’t want to leave. Floor to ceiling windows showcase the panoramic views across Start Bay, and you can while away long cosy evenings enjoying Netflix and the Blu ray player. That said, you’ll find in your very own cinema room just off the living area or fill the house full of your favourite tunes courtesy of the comprehensive wireless Sonos speaker system.

When the views beckon, step straight from the living space onto the terrace to enjoy the sight of the waves dancing in the distance, and we can’t think of a prettier setting for that glass of wine before bed. Speaking of bed, no matter which of the 6 double bedrooms you opt for, you’ll open the door to find breathtaking views showcased by floor to ceiling windows, and an elegant décor. Four of the bedrooms offer access out to the terrace or garden, and five of them have beautiful en suite shower rooms for a little extra privacy.

Whether you’re curled up in front of the log burner in the snug, or you’re cooking up a meal for the group in the high spec kitchen, there’s a relaxing feel to Gold Meadow that means you’ll feel right at home and inspired at the same time, this is exemplified by the show stopping open plan kitchen and dining space which is quite superb and boasts floor to ceiling glass picture windows, framing the exceptional views.

You’ll find Gold Meadow just a mile from Torcross in the picturesque South Hams, and its setting in the tiny hamlet of Widewell means you can experience a true retreat from the hustle and bustle. For those days out, you’ll find eateries, beaches and family attractions just a short drive away, and we’d recommend a walk along the unspoilt beaches of Start Point and the golden sands of the Salcombe Estuary nearby. For the foodies, the Millbrook Inn is a friendly Creekside pub with a reputation for serving up sumptuous meals.
