With its very own “Wendy House Kitchen” visitors to Preston Court can enjoy a self catering holiday with a difference. With beautiful views out across the 600 acre estate, you can be Clamping in style close to the popular seaside towns of Margate and Whitstable, as well as the beauty Cathedral City of Canterbury.
Choose a spacious and fully furnished bell tent for a comfortable camping experience. Their beautiful bell tents offer full size beds with sumptuous sprung mattresses resting on either rustic wood or antique iron bedsteads. With duck down duvets and crisp cotton sheets you will wake up feeling like you are in a luxury hotel. Not having to sleep in a soggy sleeping bag on a hard cold floor, transforms camping into a beautiful alternative to hotels or B&B’s that makes wonderful memories for every visitor.
Just a short distance across St Mildred’s Field, and close to the Barnyard, the bell tents at Preston Court also come with sheepskin rugs, snug throws and fluffy hot water bottles to ensure that you are warm and cosy whatever the weather. Each tent also has its very own electricity supply meaning you have all the home comforts you could ever wish for including lighting and heating and even fans.
Cooking in the communal Wendy House Kitchen is a charming rustic experience, and the owners lay on all the basics you will need during your stay including milk, bread, butter and hot drinks, as well as a choice of breakfast items including delicious eggs freshly laid by the chickens on the farm.
Guests are welcome to make use of the fridge, kettle, toaster, 2 ring hob and mini oven, as well as a full selection of cutlery, plates, cups and glasses. There is also a BBQ on site for easy summer evenings, just remember to bring some food and coal to get it going. You can then relax and enjoy the spoils of you hard work in the outdoor dining area.
The bathroom facilities are also far superior to any you would find at a regular campsite, with the newly built 'Bathroom Cabin' offering powerful showers with oodles of hot water, as well as designer sinks and a real country cottage bathroom feel.
If you fancy something completely unique, the 'Geodesic Dome’ is the perfect place for a romantic dinner for two, or sipping on a cool glass of fizz whilst you take in the 360 degree views, underneath the ivy and fairy right canopy.
Just under an hour away from London St Pancras station, the East Kent Coast is laden with sandy beaches, idyllic villages and traditional coastal towns, making it an easy retreat for those looking to just get away from it all.

A luxury Bell Tent for two guests, furnished with a Double bed, is £110 per night. An additional Single bed can very comfortably be accommodated at £50 per night.
An 'Emperor' Family Bell Tent sleeps 4 guests, furnished with a Double bed and two Single beds as standard, at £220 per night
Special furnishing arrangements can be requested for stays of 2 nights or more, subject to availability. i.e Single beds for groups of friends etc.
