This beautiful old stone house sits in the incredible Galician countryside and makes up part of a centuries’ old village. The home was rebuilt over 40 years ago using the walls of an old house that was nestled in the middle of the river. It now offers couples or small groups seven rooms and suites to choose from, offering an abundance of old world, rustic charm in a marvellously peaceful setting.
When you arrive, you will be blown away by the greenery that surrounds you, with beautiful forests and vineyards all around. Inside, the home is full to the brim with rustic touches with exposed wooden beams, stonework walls and vintage furnishings. Get comfy in the cosy lounge with its wood-burning fireplace and comfy seating, or head outside where you can sit with a drink in hand and bask in the tranquility.
There are seven different rooms or suites on offer for you to choose from during your stay.
The first bedroom, The Saint, is a standard double that blends rustic charm with modern comfort. Set behind stone walls and a batea beam roof, this cosy space is reached by a stone staircase and features two comfy beds, warm decor and a private balcony with stunning views of the Pedras River, vineyards and Barbanza Mountains. The room has its own ensuite bathroom with eco-friendly amenities - plus a window framing the tranquil river. Here, time slows down.
The second bedroom, The Arch is a bright and spacious room that you enter through a stunning stone arch - a gem of traditional architecture. With river-view windows and the soothing sound of flowing water, it’s a peaceful escape into nature. The fully equipped bathroom adds comfort to this charming, rustic retreat - perfect for those seeking serenity and style.
Up next is The Cabin, is a unique space that blends warmth, comfort and rustic charm with wooden beam ceilings and historic stone walls. Designed for total relaxation, it features a private fireplace, cosy atmosphere and modern comforts like a flat-screen TV. A perfect balance of tradition and style, it offers a restful, home-like escape.
The fourth bedroom, Bisasova, is a spacious room that blends antique charm with modern comfort, featuring centuries-old furniture, central heating and a wood stove for added cosiness. Open the windows to enjoy the fresh air and soothing sound of the nearby stream - an ideal escape from daily stress.
Up next is the Lower Mill, which offers an abundance of charm in a restored water mill, set on a private 100 m² plot with stunning river views. This unique room features a spacious whirlpool tub for ultimate relaxation. Enjoy total privacy and dine alfresco at a stone table - perfect for a romantic evening by the water away from the rest of your group.
The Upper Mill is next. This beautifully restored two-story former water mill offers 55 m² of comfort and nature. It includes a living room, a spacious 180x200 cm bed, a Roman-style Jacuzzi, an extra bathroom with shower and a balcony with river views. Blending modern materials with traditional Galician touches, it stays true to its rural roots. With water flowing beneath and the sound of the river outside, it’s a soothing, one-of-a-kind retreat.
The Palleira is a deluxe renovated barn on-site that blends rustic charm with modern comfort in a cozy two-storey space by the river. Perfect for a romantic escape, it features antique decor, a whirlpool tub with chromotherapy, individual heating and a 55-inch TV - all set in a serene, intimate atmosphere.
