The Details

Wild, soulful and wonderfully serene, the Premium Geodesic Dome at El Refugio del Indio is all about slowing down and reconnecting with nature in the most magical way. Set deep in the Andalusian countryside with no light pollution, this adults-only hideaway invites you to sleep beneath the stars thanks to a motorised transparent roof that opens the night sky right above your bed. From the moment you arrive, the sense of calm is unmistakable.

Each dome sits within its own private plot, offering far-reaching views of the mythical Indio Mountain, also known as Lovers’ Rock. Inside, the space feels both indulgent and grounding, with a giant 2 x 2 metre bed dressed with a premium mattress, climate control for year-round comfort and a beautifully designed private bathroom with a luxury shower. Thoughtful details like a minibar fridge and daily cleaning mean you can fully switch off and settle into the rhythm of your surroundings.

Step outside onto your private terrace, surrounded by greenery and mountain views, where mornings begin with fresh air and birdsong and evenings are best spent watching the sky fade through soft sunset colours. There’s also a stunning shared beach-style pool inspired by Tulum, complete with natural sand and panoramic views, perfect for lazy afternoons in the Andalusian sun.

Beyond your dome, the retreat offers a selection of beautifully designed communal spaces, including a glazed lounge for sunset watching, a romantic picnic viewpoint, coworking area and a fully equipped communal kitchen. Set within over 15,000 square metres of olive trees and natural vegetation, the atmosphere here is peaceful, intimate and deeply restorative.

When it’s time to explore, you’re perfectly placed between coast and mountains. The Costa del Sol is just 40 minutes away, Malaga Airport under an hour and the dramatic landscapes of Sierra Nevada within easy reach. Closer to home, mountain paths and rural trails invite gentle walks, moments of reflection and a deeper connection with this quietly powerful landscape.
