Finding parking in Brighton can be a challenge, the hotel has 14 parking spaces next door to the hotel. These are available on a first-come, first-served basis at a cost of £15 per night.

The detail

If you're in the market for a perfect seaside hotel, look no further. Drakes sits on Marine Parade in Brighton, facing the beach with sea views from every luxurious and delightful bedroom and would be the perfect choice for discerning couples, stylish solo travellers and those who enjoy the finer things in life.

The rooms are titled Good, Great, Marvellous and Best and each one is designed and decorated in unique, elegant and jaw-dropping style. Some have freestanding bathtubs by the window overlooking the sea and all have high ceilings, enormous Georgian windows and super-king size beds. The ensuites are fabulous and come with top of the range Green & Spring luxury and eco-friendly bath and body products.

Settle in and head down to the cocktail bar for a welcome drink with a view of Brighton Pier before making your plans for dinner. The in-house restaurant, Dilsk, comes highly recommended (by Michelin!) and is the perfect way to start your holiday by the sea. Take your time and finish the night with some espresso martinis before sliding into your luxurious bed and getting a well earned night's rest with the sea air to lull you off.

Start the day with a relaxing soak in the bath with a view, or indulge in a long hot shower before ordering breakfast which can be taken in your room at leisure or enjoyed downstairs. The a la carte menu has something for everyone. Maybe a Bloody Mary too?

Drakes is perfectly placed to enjoy the many entertainments that Brighton has to offer. Wander along the seafront with a coffee and enjoy the Victorian Pier, check out the Royal Pavilion, mooch through the Lanes with its many independent shops and galleries, settle in a cosy pub or head to a bustling bar and enjoy some cocktails, karaoke and some of the finest drag shows in the UK.

Head back to Drakes for the best view of the setting sun in the cocktail bar. If you fancy dining out you'll find some excellent tapas and seafood bars dotted around the Lanes and plenty of other options, including excellent vegetarian restaurants in central Brighton and Hove.
