Dolphins leap is so named because of the dolphins that frequent the waters in the bay of Lefokastro. Many guests that stay at Dolphins Leap get to experience the creatures leaping from the water for themselves, however, this isn’t all that makes the house so special.
Set on the unspoilt Pelion peninsula, overlooking Lefokastro Bay, Dolphins Leap was built from Pelion stone, by local craftsmen. Boasting an impressive 6 bedrooms set over two wings in the main house and further space for two more people in the Writers Retreat (a separate building that can be hired alone or with the main building) Dolphins Leap is a hit for large families or groups of friends looking for a luxurious escape.
Inside is fresh and clean, whitewashed walls and marble floors make escaping from the heat a welcome pleasure. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped, so self catering can become a care-free group effort. Several of the bedrooms have luxurious and sizeable en suites.
The outside space is second to none; large terraces overlook the glimmering bay, and at night time the lights of the small town across the bay are reflected in the water. The house is surrounded by olive trees and forest, so the landscape is lush and verdant. The infinity pool allows swimmers to look out over this sleepy, but astounding area of the world, as do the dining and upstairs terraces. Sunsets will light up the bay in pink, gold and orange as you settle for your evening meal. Later you can head to the upper terrace and have a nightcap under the stars. And if you want to get out on the water, the owners provide free use of a five-seater motorboat during summer months. They also provide stand-up paddleboards and kayaks for you to use during your stay!
