Sleeping four guests across two bedrooms, this unique pod-like home is supremely modern and was developed by the Spanish firm Districthive. The interior makes use of blacks and greys to give it a futuristic feel, whilst the huge windows flood the space with natural light and offer up incredible views out over the mountains.
The pod features comfy seating areas where you can sit with a loved one and take in the surrounding scenery. Or, hop outside and jump in the swimming pool for a relaxing dip in the summer sunshine. There is one compact but super-comfy bedroom guaranteeing a great night's sleep as well as space for two more guests on a pull out sofa bed. Guests can wake up and enjoy a morning coffee out on the terrace whilst breathing in the fresh mountain air.
This awesome pod is intelligently designed and can survive the harshest environments, whilst remaining completely eco-friendly thanks to solar power. The pod hotel, or 'podtel' as the designers have named it, is truly autonomous, requiring no public services to function. It makes its own water, electricity and waste management, making it truly off-grid. The pod will take care of everything for you except for food. But fear not, you can order local specialties to your hideout from artisan brands in ready-to-eat boxes.
