Luxury meets the great outdoors in this charming shepherd’s hut in Somerset, offering you romantic fairy lights, soft, a comfortable bed, a wood-burning stove and a BBQ outside to enjoy cooking amidst stunning scenery.
Sleep soundly, with a double bed topped with British bed linen and a vintage eiderdown. Then either leave your bed in situ for daytime lounging, or push back onto the wall to maximise your space. For eating together, you’ll find a hand-built, oak table and bench seating for up to six people, plus there’s a sofa, dressed in sheepskins to keep you cosy in winter. Tea lights and fairy lights twinkle throughout, casting a soft, romantic light in your hut, whilst the wood burning stove keeps you super snug.
Get cooking with a gas hob, fridge and small Belfast sink within the hut, plus a starter pack of oils, vinegars, sauces and basic spices, tea and coffees all provided for you. Outside the hut there’s a BBQ for cooking al fresco, plus a washing-up area with hot and cold taps. All essential utensils and crockery are provided. Tucked at the end of the hut is a bathroom, where you’ll find all the towels you need, a hair dryer and a starter selection of luxury shower treats, plus of course a spacious shower, washbasin and a flushing toilet.
Throughout your hut you’ll find plenty of little things you might need including a lovely little flask with enamel mugs to take with you, as well as a local map, to use if you go walking. There’s also a vintage picnic basket, and the owners are happy to provide sandwiches and treats for your trip if you let you them know in advance. Delicious, home cooked meals can also be provided on request, and a tea tray of teas, coffees, hot chocolate and sweet, tasty things is there to welcome you on arrival.
On the farm there are the Dexter Cattle, Jacobs sheep and Tamworth pigs to see, plus some stunning skies and opportunities for stargazing, and a telescope can be provided. Walk or cycle straight out of the farm and you’ve plenty of places to explore, with cycle routes to follow. Locally you’ll also find opportunities to go horse riding, play golf or to go scouring for fossils along the Jurassic Coast at Lyme Regis. Longleat Safari Park is also nearby.
