Dexter is an impressive luxury barn conversion with a very stylish interior and a large garden with fabulous views. It would be the perfect choice for a big family get together or a group of friends celebrating a special occasion.
Upon arrival gather in the impressive farmhouse-style kitchen where you'll find beamed high ceilings and three windows overlooking the stunning Yorkshire countryside. This is a fabulous kitchen for those who love to cook, and for those who don't there's a comfy sofa where you can sit with a drink and watch someone else prepare dinner. A large central island is just right for food prep or a casual breakfast. But for now, just pour a drink and head through to the living and dining room via a very cosy snug with a large leather sofa, widescreen TV and a log burner. This little room is perfect for reclining with a good book, or taking some quiet time on your own with nothing but the crackling of the logs for company.
The open-plan living and dining room is an absolute delight. Huge in size, with high beamed ceilings and skylights, the whole space is light and airy with room for everyone. At its centre is a very large blue corner sofa where you can gather together for a pre-dinner drink, catch up, watch movies and listen to music. Another log burner means you'll all be toasty no matter the weather. Designed by Niche Living this centre of the home is truly wonderful and the dining table, which can comfortably seat 18, is perfect for big meals and special occasions. You may choose to prepare a feast yourself or take advantage of the available private chefs and bespoke menus available! Large glazed sliding doors provide breathtaking views over Holmedale Valley and open onto the outside patio.
Of the five luxurious bedrooms, you'll find two located on the ground floor with floor-to-ceiling windows providing excellent views. They both have their own ensuite bathrooms with tubs and showers and both have zip link king size beds for your convenience. Upstairs are two more king size rooms offering the same luxuries as the ground level rooms, and one delightful chateau-style main bedroom with a large en-suite that boasts a free-standing bath, walk-in shower and double sinks.
Enjoy a peaceful night's sleep followed by a long hot shower or a lazy soak in the bathtub before heading out into the garden with your coffee. You'll find sprawling lawns on three sides of the house, sun loungers, a table and seating for alfresco dining beneath the stars and the electric hot tub. An infinity wall provides a lovely view of of the valley and its a wonderful place to enjoy a BBQ.
The pretty village of Ravensworth is only a mile away and has a good village pub, The Bay Horse, where you can enjoy a pint and some proper pub grub. Take a stroll around the remains of the 14th century Grade I listed Castle or visit Ravensworth Nurseries.
There are plenty of lovely walks to enjoy so bring some comfy boots, and you'll find several good restaurants and pubs along the way. For a day of pampering, visit The Garage Spa, a few miles to the west. And if you need to stock up the fridge you'll love Mainsgill Farm Shop, only half a mile away, which has a large food hall and award-winning home made produce.
