Denend Farmhouse is a gorgeously quirky stone farmhouse sleeping eight guests which has been designed with love and a lot of fun. Joyous, colourful interiors prevail with a vintage farmhouse feel which will have you smiling as soon as you walk in the door.
The open plan downstairs area is a kaleidoscope of colours, patterns and fabrics which work wonderfully together to create a sense of fun and a unique environment in which to socialise, eat, drink or just chill out enjoying the charming ambience. A wood fired log burner and leather chesterfields add a classic elegance and provide the ideal space to while away the evenings with friends.
The kitchen/diner features a huge eco electric range cooker and all the appliances you could need to prepare delicious meals for your group. The kitchen spills out onto a raised private decking area with incredible views and a dining table with lime green chairs for eight guests. Not only is this a great sun trap but it also boasts a wood fired pizza oven and hot tub. What could be nicer than relaxing with a glass of bubbly listening to the sheep and lambs nearby?
The farmhouse has four bedrooms, one downstairs ensuite with a king size bed and upstairs are two king size bedrooms and one twin bedroom with a quirkily decorated shower room bathroom to share. Each bedroom is a riot of colour to lift the spirits and combined with Hypnos mattresses, beautifully soft cotton bedlinen and incredible lighting will provide the most refreshing night’s sleep possible. Along with the vibrantly orange ensuite which features a stunning copper roll top bath and high cistern vintage flushing toilet, there is a separate downstairs loo in the utility room too.
Your bothy is located on a farm which specialises in strawberry and barley growing and sheep breeding and tours to the lambing shed and maternity pens can be arranged for guests staying during lambing season. If you want to venture further afield why not follow the Malt Whisky Trail and take a tour around the distilleries to appreciate what makes a Speyside malt whisky so good? Try surfing on the beautiful waters of the Moray Firth or explore some of the many hiking trails across Aberdeenshire, the stunning hills of Bennachie are within half an hour’s drive. From mountain to sea, there really is something for everyone.
