Nestled in the picturesque countryside, this charming converted barn offers a tranquil retreat with its spacious interior, bold colour choices and breathtaking surroundings. With four bedrooms, each thoughtfully designed to provide comfort and style, this property promises a delightful stay for eight guests seeking a peaceful getaway in rural Shropshire.
As you step foot in the barn you’re greeted by the inviting ambiance of the living space, where rustic charm meets modern elegance. There are a number of places to relax and unwind, from the vibrant green kitchen/dining space with its log-burning fireplace and comfy sofa, to the deep purple lounge with big super-comfy sofas, a wall-mounted TV and giant windows that flood the space with natural light and offer lovely views of the surroundings. There’s also a cosy snug sitting area in the hallway with yet another wood-burner and some nice armchairs where you can relax with a good book.
Criggin Barn features meticulously landscaped gardens that offer breathtaking valley vistas. You and your loved ones can step outside and immerse yourselves in the tranquillity of the surroundings at one of the two seating areas strategically positioned at both the front and back of the barn. Here, you can unwind with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, enveloped by the sights and sounds of nature.
To enhance the outdoor experience, firepits are provided for chillier evenings, and there’s also a charming Summer House that offers yet another spot to sit with a good book, enjoy a leisurely afternoon tea or simply take in the views.
Back inside, when bedtime beckons, the barn has four delightful, uniquely designed bedrooms that all offer a peaceful night’s rest. One of the bedrooms features a super-king size bed, one has a king size bed and two have doubles. One of the bedrooms also has its own ensuite bathroom, whilst bedroom four has an attached bathroom that everyone can access. There’s also a nice family bathroom with a bath for relaxing soaks after days spent exploring your surroundings.
When it comes to filling your day, you’ll want to strike out and see all that this marvellous part of the country has to offer. Lovers of the great outdoors will want to visit the Shropshire HIlls, which is a sprawling reserve known for its picturesque landscapes, charming villages and delightful waterways. You may also wish to cross the border into Wales and visit the lovely market town of Knighton that’s nestled into the hills. Another great market town in the area is Ludlow, which is a mediaeval town that is a true architectural gem with a lively community atmosphere.
