Coshandrochaid House is absolutely stunning. A spacious contemporary luxury home with a warm and cosy feel. We loved our week there and felt very well looked after by our excellent hosts. The attention to detail is fantastic and it offers all you could want – comfortable bedrooms, lovely bathrooms, two sitting rooms with stunning views, utility and boot rooms and a large well equipped kitchen diner with an electric Aga providing a warm heart to the home. No TV for a week was a joy (there is excellent wi-fi), so in the evenings we played games, read and completed a few jigsaw puzzles. The welcome pack of bread, milk, butter and local goodies was much appreciated, as were all the eco products which fitted with the ethos of this house perfectly. Located near the end of the Tayvallich peninsular along a well maintained single track road (with passing places), the property is on a hillside with stunning views. There is small community shop and café in beautiful Tayvallich (cafe not open Tues/Wed) and the excellent Tayvallich Inn which opens 7 days a week serving bar, restaurant and takeaway food. Beyond this, supermarkets are in short supply (the largest in Oban is over an hour away). We decided to pick up a click & collect order in Glasgow enroute and it was a great decision as we stocked the fridge/freezer on arrival and then just bought local produce/enjoyed meals out as needed. Exploring this beautiful part of Scotland was a joy – we went kayaking at Tayvallich (thanks to Mark our guide and Ann at Argyll Kayaks), hiked the nearby Argyll beaver trail (there is a shorter accessible one as well), strolled through the stunning Taynish National Nature Reserve, took a car ferry to Arran for the day, had a day out to Oban, walked the Crinan Canal and enjoyed the never-ending coastal and loch views/walks. This really was the most relaxing holiday and somewhere to totally lose yourself in the beautiful unspoilt landscape. We can’t wait to return one day.

We had a family gathering here, there were 6 of us and the house was just perfect. Warm and comfortable with a large kitchen space where we enjoyed long blethery dinners in front of the Aga. The views from the house are lovely and we had great walks, swims and cycles nearby. Communication with the hosts was perfect with lots of great advice. Thoroughly recommend! Can you complete the fungi jigsaw puzzle? We did!
