Wine country creek-side cottage with swimming hole, patio, and firepit, forty five minutes away from Napa
Please note that the minimum stay for this property is 7 nights
Located just above a clear and babbling brook in the heart of California's wine country, Coastal Creekside Hideaway is a tranquil and remote rural house with space for up to four guests between its two large bedrooms. Ideally located for trips to nearby Napa, and Sugarloaf National Park, Coastal Creek Hideaway is a truly unique cottage, ideal for friends, families or any other group looking for a relaxing and picturesque getaway where they can swim in fresh water, spot rare birds, and spend long evenings sitting around the fire pit with a bottle of local wine.
Everything about this magnificent house has been designed to create a sense of peace and balance, with hardwood floors, large picture windows, ultra-comfortable furniture and high ceilings throughout. From the moment you wake and take an early morning swim in the swimming hole which forms from the creek, to the moment you turn in for the night after sitting around the firepit beneath a starry sky, this is the sort of house which leaves you with a deep sense of relaxation.
As you walk through the large wooden front door, you'll find yourself in an open plan living room and dining space, boasting expansive views out over the valley outside, with the California sunshine gleaming off the polished hardwood floors. Rather than walling off individual rooms with doorways, different spaces have been created in this house through subtle changes of accent and decor.
The rooms have high, vaulted ceilings, and are mainly whitewashed, emphasising the lightness and airiness which makes this cottage such a delight to occupy. The kitchen is no exception, with perfect architectural lines, sparkling new appliances, and a window by the sink which looks out into the greenery outside. Upstairs, each of the bedrooms has ample living and storage space, plus extraordinary vistas over this verdant and lush slice of Eden.
The Napa region is famed throughout the USA and worldwide for its Edenic beauty, stunning vineyards and cultural output. Whatever your idea of the dream holiday, you're bound to find the perfect getaway with a few days or longer spent in Napa. You're within easy reach of some of the best wineries in Sonoma, and close to Sugarloaf National Park with its famous hiking trails. For a more culturally and culinarily rewarding experience, the unbelievably quaint and bucolic village of Glen Ellen is unmissable. For fantastic eateries, local bars and independent shops, the house itself is equidistant from Sonoma Town Square and Santa Rosa.
