Cleugh Foot Cottage is a three bedroom, three bathroom home on the Netherby Estate in rural Cumbria, overlooking the River Esk. Featuring charming, rustic decor, the property is the ideal place for a cosy winter's weekend away. With its lovely wood burner in the living room and plush sofas, you'll love hunkering down inside during the colder weather.
But summers at Cleugh Foot are idyllic in their own right. With its private firepit, garden, hot tub and alfresco dining area, guests have plenty of ways to enjoy the fresh air in the summer months from the comfort of the estate. And, the property offers guests ample access to private parkland, the River Esk and woodland, making it an absolutely beautiful destination for walking and cycling enthusiasts all year round.
Cleugh Foot Cottage is well equipped for guests planning on self catering with its fully-equipped kitchen. Home to a hob, oven, kettle, dishwasher, cooking essentials and plenty of counter space, enthusiastic home chefs will find that they have everything they need to make the perfect home-cooked meal at Cleugh Foot. The property is home to three plush bedrooms (one of which is ensuite) and bathrooms, allowing it to comfortably cater to both smaller and larger parties looking for a tranquil weekend away.
Guests looking to spend plenty of quality time together during their stay are sure to love Cleugh Foot's charming sitting room with its plump sofas and cosy wood burner. TV and WiFi are both available on the property, too, meaning guests have access to diverse entertainment options while on site.
What's more, Cleugh Foot is ideally located for guests looking to explore some of the North of England's most stunning scenery and landscapes. The property is only a short drive away from the Lake District National Park, which features plenty of the UK's most jaw-dropping mountain and lake scenes.
History enthusiasts are sure to enjoy Wray Castle, found near the banks of the great lake Windermere (which is well worth a visit in its own right). The neo-gothic castle, complete with towers, turrets and its atmospheric grounds, makes for the perfect day trip from Cleugh Foot. Guests may also want to venture a bit further north to explore Scotland, with the Scottish border being a stone's throw away from the property.
