Ideally located in the dramatic coastlines and stunning beauty of the Scottish Highlands, Clarsach is a three bedroom cottage in the hills with accommodation for up to six guests between three double bedrooms. Ideal for families and groups of friends, Clarsach is the dream getaway for anybody who enjoys walking in picturesque rural locations, and combines elegant, straightforward design with expansive views and high-end modern luxuries.
Inside the timber-clad house, the heart of the cottage is a lengthy and airy kitchen, dining and living space. With floor-to-ceiling windows going the length of the space, the architecture successfully brings the outdoors in, and creates a really extraordinary room which is a pleasure to occupy in every season. Enthusiastic home cooks will also be pleased with the range of world-class culinary amenities in the kitchen, which is open, modern, and a real treat to cook in. Whether you're gathering in the kitchen first thing in the morning for a cup of coffee before striking out on a hike, or chatting at the kitchen island in the evening with a beer before dinner, this area really is a communal hub.
The property itself is set up to take advantage of the enviable views on every side, with light pouring in through large windows, and an outdoor patio area set up with a dining table, creating the perfect spot to sit with a dram of single malt whisky in the evening and watch the sun go down.There is also timber decking with direct access from the house itself, offering a nice spot to sit outside in the summer and breathe in the fresh Highland air. Inside the garage you can find a charcoal Weber barbecue, the perfect way to grill local lobsters and langoustines. The main bedroom has its own private en suite bathroom and a truly extraordinary picture window, while the other two rooms are set up with twin singles and a double bed respectively.
A stylish, modern and extremely comfortable cottage, this is the sort of house where most people tend to remain close to home, taking in the sea views, snuggling up with one of the many books, and staying cosy by the wood-burning stove, before taking a coastal stroll. As far as hiking is concerned. this is one of the most scenic and majestic regions of Scotland, with dramatic cliffs and long, sandy beaches all within easy reach. As well as local, charming pubs with excellent beer and whisky and great atmospheres, there are more formal restaurants within a 20 minute drive, specialising in game and seafood. In addition to the world-famous walks and hiking trails of the Highlands, you're also ideally placed to make the trip to the Cuillins of Skye and even the Outer Hebrides.
