There’s something wonderfully grand about gathering everyone together at Churchill House. Set within the historic Minterne Estate amid the rolling Dorset countryside, this handsome former farmhouse sleeps up to 16 guests and combines beautiful period character with the sort of relaxed, welcoming spaces that make big group stays feel effortless. Add a private hot tub, sprawling lawns and complimentary access to the magnificent Minterne Gardens when open and you have a memorable setting for family get-togethers, celebrations, retreats and weekends away with friends.
Inside, there’s plenty of room to spread out. The dual-aspect sitting room has an open fire, Smart TV and French doors leading out to the garden, making it equally inviting for lazy afternoons and cosy evenings together. The dining room is another highlight, with space for all 16 guests around the table and its own open fire adding atmosphere to long dinners. A large, well-equipped kitchen makes catering for the whole gang straightforward, while the external utility room provides handy laundry facilities and somewhere to leave muddy boots after countryside adventures.
Eight individually styled bedrooms are arranged across the upper floors. On the first floor there are two super-king size bedrooms, one with an ensuite bathroom, alongside a king size bedroom and a single bedroom. Upstairs beneath the eaves you’ll find two doubles, a twin and a fabulous children’s room with four single beds, its own Smart TV, games and an ensuite shower room. There are several further bathrooms throughout the house, giving a large group plenty of space to get ready for the day.
Outside, mornings can begin with coffee on the patio while the children play on the lawn, before everyone heads out to explore. Later, fire up the BBQ and settle in for dinner outdoors, then sink into the private hot tub as darkness falls. You can make a stay even more special by arranging experiences such as a private chef, cocktail masterclass or yoga session.
