Step back in time with a stay at Chapel Cottage, a Grade II listed former chapel built in 1784 and lovingly renovated in 1884. This charming retreat offers a unique blend of history, comfort and coastal living in the heart of the Pembrokeshire countryside. With cosy interiors, exposed stone walls and beams, and plenty of space for families and friends, it’s a holiday home that feels both characterful and welcoming. Best of all, you’re just a short drive from Whitesands Beach, one of the area’s most iconic sandy stretches, making it an ideal base for seaside adventures.
On arrival, you’ll find the light-filled open-plan living space inviting you to relax and reconnect. The lounge features a large L-shaped sofa, two armchairs, a Smart TV and a wood-burning stove for those snug evenings after a day exploring the coast. The freestanding kitchen is fully equipped, complete with a range-style oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a dining table seating six – perfect for gathering everyone together over hearty meals. When the sun is shining, throw open the French doors and step into the courtyard garden, where you can sip drinks and watch the sun set over the rolling countryside.
Upstairs, two delightful bedrooms await. The master bedroom sits on a striking oak and glass-fronted mezzanine, with a king-size bed and ensuite bathroom that features a bath and hand-held shower. The second bedroom, with its exposed stone walls and beams, provides a king-size bed alongside two single beds, making it perfect for a family. There’s also a stylish hallway bathroom with a shower for added convenience.
Set in a peaceful hamlet just a mile from St Davids – Britain’s smallest city, you’re perfectly placed for both relaxation and adventure. Spend days on Blue Flag Whitesands Beach, where you can try surfing, coasteering or simply soak up the sunshine. In St Davids itself, explore the breathtaking cathedral, browse independent shops and enjoy boat trips to nearby islands where you might spot porpoises, dolphins or even whales. Whether you want to unwind in comfort or dive into coastal adventure, Chapel Cottage promises a memorable Pembrokeshire escape.
