Perched right on the water’s edge just south of Inveraray, Cedar Cottage is a wonderfully tranquil hideaway where life slows to the rhythm of the tides. With uninterrupted views over a beautiful sea inlet and dramatic Argyll scenery all around, this is the kind of place where mornings begin with birdsong and evenings end by the glow of a crackling fire.
Inside, the cottage has a warm, welcoming feel with whitewashed walls, hardwood floors and a cosy, lived-in charm. The lounge is made for lingering, with a big, comfy sofa and a wood-burning fireplace that’s perfect after a day outdoors. Curl up with a glass of wine, plan tomorrow’s adventures or simply enjoy the peace and quiet that comes with such a special setting.
The kitchen is well equipped for rustling up everything from relaxed breakfasts to comforting dinners, while the round dining table for four encourages long, sociable meals and plenty of conversation. For quieter moments, head through to the conservatory where soft seating and wide views make it an ideal spot to read, watch the weather roll in or keep an eye out for local wildlife using the telescope provided.
When night falls, Cedar Cottage offers three calm and cosy bedrooms. Two doubles and a single room provide flexible sleeping for couples, friends or a small family, with each room offering lovely views over the gardens or surrounding countryside. It’s a peaceful place to rest and wake refreshed for another day in the great outdoors.
Argyll is a dream destination for lovers of nature, history and adventure. From the cottage you can enjoy scenic walks straight from the door, explore the shores of Loch Fyne, visit historic castles and ancient monuments, or spend days kayaking, fishing or cycling through breathtaking landscapes. Inveraray is close by for shops, cafés and its iconic castle, while the wider region offers golf courses, wildlife spotting and some excellent local pubs and eateries to round off your days.
