Located in the High Weald AONB, Castle Hill Cottage is a luxury cottage with six bedrooms and five bathrooms that can accommodate up to 14. Home to an independent studio unit that comes complete with a sauna and hot tub, Castle Hill’s elegant, subdued décor and extensive amenities make it an excellent choice for parties looking for a property that can truly become their home away from home for a weekend or two.
With sweeping views of the nearby hills of East Sussex’s High Weald, Castle Hill Cottage makes an excellent place to unwind and enjoy the peace and quiet that rural living has to offer. It also boasts a wide outdoor patio area and pool, available from May to September, which is perfect for stays during the summer months. The property caters to guests of all ages, too; with its onsite playground for kids, high-speed WiFi and TV, the cottage is ideal for larger family groups on the hunt for a retreat that has something to keep every generation entertained.
Self-catering at Castle Hill Cottage is a dream thanks to the property’s state-of-the-art fully-equipped kitchen, as well as outdoor cooking facilities like its pizza oven and BBQ. Guests travelling by car will appreciate that onsite parking is available, as well as an electric vehicle charger.
The six bedrooms are made up with a combination of single, bunk, double and king size beds, affording guests flexible sleeping arrangements that best suit them. Looking out over the terrace is the open plan living and dining area, which is also home to Castle Hill’s snug. In the snug, you’ll find a wide-screen TV and SONOS speakers to transform the room into an immersive cinema experience.
This part of East Sussex is home to some of the region’s finest cultural and natural delights, and Castle Hill Cottage makes for a great hub for exploring them from. History enthusiasts may wish to visit the castles of Lewes or Bodiam, both of which are within driving distance of Castle Hill. If you’d like to enjoy some of East Sussex’s stunning scenery, the iconic cliffs of Beachy Head near Eastbourne are also well worth the 45-minute drive from the property.
Alternatively, you’d rather stay closer to home, the property is located just a short drive away from the charming town of Crowborough. Home to plenty of homely pubs, cafes and restaurants, Crowborough is also found just on the edge of the famed Ashdown Forest, which inspired the stories in Winnie the Poo and is also one of the UK’s most important sites of heathland and archeological digs.

We had a family stay at castle hill cottage. We had a great time and we all enjoyed the swimming pool. We had a couple of little glitches but they were dealt with immediately by the owners. It was a very nice relaxing time for us all, including the children.

Very cosy and welcoming cottage, perfectly laid out for the 14 of us. We all loved it- the views, the spa, the open fire places, the beds and linen. Would highly recommend this for a group of this size,
