Even as you drive towards Casa San Gabriel you know that you are in for a treat. Set in a beautiful rural landscape, with lush rolling hills and scented olive trees, you are sure to feel your troubles melt away before you even arrive.
Set in the heart of central Italy, and bordering Tuscany and Le Marche, the Umbria region is characterised by its high culture and atmospheric hilltop towns. Here, great foods, inspirational country views and traditional customs can be enjoyed in their masses with many fascinating local villages and stunning valleys to explore.
The three traditional stone villas are full of an authentic rustic charm and have been restored from their previous lives as an old stable, wine cellar and hayloft. Whilst having access to excellent communal facilities, each of the charming properties has its own breath taking valley view from an exclusive and pretty private terrace. Fully-equipped with kitchen and dining areas, the villas sleep between two and six and are ideal for indulging in some sumptuous seasonal foods and rich local wines.
Located along a 1.5KM gravel track, the villas are blissfully quiet and are great for a relaxing break amongst some of the world’s finest rural scenes. The communal swimming pool has far-reaching views while the magnificent sunsets and clear starry skies are some of the most romantic you’ll find.
With its central location, Casa San Gabriel is also the ideal location for exploring cultural gems across Umbria, Le Marche and Tuscany. The beautiful Tuscan cities of Arezzo and Florence are both within a day trip of the villas, along with the smaller but astonishingly charming hilltop villages of Cortona and Urbino.
In Umbria itself, Assisi, the famous birthplace of St Francis, is a must to be seen while the small settlements of Pierantonio and Umbertide are just a 5 and 10 minute drive away.
So if you want to explore the soul of cultural Italy, or just unwind in a divine and tranquil location, then these villas are set to impress.
