The views from the terrace, where the rugged mountainous coastline drops into the turquoise sea, are truly breathtaking. So impressive are the sights that you may just want to sit in the sunshine all day gazing at everything sprawled out below. As the cliffs slope down to the water’s edge, the odd white villa pops up among the trees and rocks. There are few sights in Italy as delightful as this. But once you take your eyes off the bay and step inside this luxury apartment you will not be disappointed. Case Bellevue, which is in the heart of Positano, is traditionally decorated with plenty of old Italian charm. Terracotta tiled floors and whitewashed walls combine to give the place that wonderful Mediterranean atmosphere that so many people adore.

Laid out on two levels, Casa Bellevue has three bedrooms and comfortably sleeps six people. There is a nice elegant living area with plenty of dining space and a traditional working fire for those cosy evenings in. There are also three bathrooms, one of which has lovely views and a gorgeous big bath tub for a comfy soak after a day out seeing the sights. Cook up some scrumptious local produce in the fully functional kitchen and eat outside on the terrace whilst enjoying the fresh air and sea views. The terrace itself has cushioned benches, a large table and chairs, and a wisteria-covered gazebo.

Situated just 40 paces from the main road this apartment is near to some lovely local restaurants, a news stand, a supermarket, pharmacy and a bus stop. And if you hop on the bus, or in your car, and venture further afield, there is plenty to see and do. The ancient Roman town of Pompeii, destroyed by a volcanic eruption in 79AD, is not too far and is a must see for any history buffs out there. Naples is also near, with its fabulous food, wonderful historic sights and amazing coastal views. Also nearby are the pretty towns of Castellammare di Stabia and Sorrento, which are well worth a visit. This wonderfully designed, traditional and comfy apartment offers fabulous access to some of Italy’s most incredible locations.
