This modern holiday home is located in the beautiful Spanish region of Catalonia, in the grounds of the owners' home, complete with its very own mini wine museum. Fabulous surroundings and great Spanish wine combine to make this a retreat to beat all others.
Offering cool, contemporary styling throughout and stunning views out across a lush green valley, Can Alsina Merela offers the perfect combination of rustic tranquility and modern convenience.
A large covered terrace is the perfect spot in which take cover from the midday sun. Perfectly designed for outdoor living, you can grill up a storm on the barbecue, eat around the large outdoor table or take a snooze in the hammock. The pool is crystal clear and incredibly inviting, and perfect for a quick dip after lounging on the surrounding sun chairs.
Alternatively, grab a seat next to the pool and watch you little ones splash about, or take five for a quiet read with a glass of locally produced wine.
Inside the property is equally as impressive. The large, well equipped kitchen comes complete with shaker style cabinets, exposed brick walls and a vaulted ceiling with wooden beams. There is also an indoor dining table for you and your group to enjoy traditional Spanish meals late into the evening.
Step out from the kitchen onto the terrace, or enjoy the stunning views from the large, panoramic windows. Every modern convenience is catered for as the kitchen also offers a fridge, a freezer, an oven, stove, coffee machine, washing machine and even a large, flatscreen TV for catching up with your favourite shows whilst you cook.
The main lounge has large windows affording dramatic views out across the valley, and with plenty of space to sit and relax, the stone walls, wooden flooring and French doors transform this space into cool contemporary living area.
This floor is also home to two spacious double bedrooms, each with their own ensuite facilities. Bedrooms have antique beds, colourful linens and splashes of colour on the walls, as well as tiled floor and large windows to let the breeze flow in.
All of the bathrooms in the house are exquisitely designed and offer design conscious fittings that would not look out of place in a luxury hotel.
The next floor is home to a triple bedroom, perfect for children or families and another ensuite bathroom. This room also offers a stunning French balcony, perfect for catching the last of the suns rays before bed time. The final bedroom is also a triple that offers it’s own ensuite and a large private balcony.
Can Alsina Merela has a hidden extra tucked away in the form of its very own little wine museum. The owners, who live below, are usually more than happy to show you around the mini museum and teach you all about the Spanish wine traditions that are part and parcel of life in the region.
If you want to leave the luxury of Can Alsina Merela, rental bikes can be arranged and the owners can show you some of the many amazing bike trails that surround the house and nearby villages.

Price other months 2023: 1.745 Euros/week/12 pers.
Outside July and August, the minimum stay except for holidays is 2 nights. Please request prices for specific dates.
Included in the price:
The price includes all taxes, consumption of electricity, heating, water and cleaning when you leave the house. Furthermore, towels and bed linen are provided. Not included I the Catalan Tourist tax of 0,99 Euros/adult (16 years+)/night, maximum charge 7 nights.
