The details
This 400 year old reclaimed site has been transformed into a beautiful beach house which makes the perfect destination for an idyllic seaside holiday in this undiscovered, yet accessible, part of Cornwall.
The property sits 50 metres from the water's edge overlooking the sandy, windswept Whitsand Bay. The first floor features fabulous ceiling to floor windows, so the sensational views are never more than a glance away. Step through the glass doors and fill your senses with the sounds and smells of the beach, hear the waves crashing onto the sandy shores and gaze out over the sea from the luxury of the hot tub.
An outdoor dining set and barbecue makes al fresco dining a must, or simply wrap in blankets and enjoy cocoa under the clear Cornish night skies.
Inside, on the first floor, an open plan kitchen and dining area, warmed by underfloor heating, is a great place to get together - to cook, eat and hang out.
While the grown ups enjoy long evenings catching up over supper and a glass of wine, children can entertain themselves for hours in the ground floor games room.
Located at the bottom of a spiral staircase, the room is kitted out for kids big and small, with table football, flatscreen TV, books and board games. The house also has its own pool table.
A separate living area is warmed by a wood burner and furnished with deep, comfortable sofas for you sink into with a good book and warming drink. The bedrooms are all beautifully decorated with objects from, and inspired by, the owners' overseas adventures. Warm and inviting, you are guaranteed a peaceful night's sleep.
The master bedroom boasts a hydrotherapy bath, ideal for a rejuvenating soak after a day in the surf, a large solid oak bed and a private courtyard with a sedum grass roof. A bunk room comfortably sleeps four, and is big enough for grown-ups and older children, so there is plenty of space for family and friends alike.
Fill your days paddling in the rock pools with the children, surfing, building sandcastles or strolling along this expansive, sandy beach, beach combing and dolphin spotting as you go. Catering can be arranged for you, or dine out, taking advantage of the region's great foodie options. The house is located near the lovely village of Kingsand and Cawsand (which has been called Cornwall's Amalfi), where you will find more beaches, calmer waters and some great pubs, including The Devonport which sells locally caught fish and seafood.

We found the beachside location of the property absolutely stunning. Spending a lot of time on the full sun terrace (a lucky week) utilising the relaxing hot tub just taking in the ocean view. The large windows of the living\kitchen area flood the space with light, allowing great indoor views of the sea. The kitchen has high end appliances for the use of your stay. The main bedroom and en suite is spacious and comfortable with luxurious bedding (only 1 bedroom used). The other rooms are really nicely furnished, one with a Moroccan theme. Amazing fish tank in the main family bathroom which is very unique. There is a games room on the floor below, so plenty to keep you occupied. The property is beautifully adorned top to bottom with various artefacts which would satisfy even the most discerning eye. Outside you can drop onto one of 2 nearby beaches below the property. The Beach House is also very convenient to cover some of the South Coast path if desired. Careful driving into the underground car park as it may be tight for larger vehicles, our SUV was ok. I would really recommend a stay at the Buddha Beach House if you're looking for a luxury break\holiday, it's a gorgeous place to stay and you won't be disappointed with the terrace

Beautiful house with amazing location and views in a quiet corner of Cornwall. The property is very well equipped and had everything we could possibly have needed. There were 8 of us on a multi-generational family trip and it was a perfect place that suited all our needs. It is only a short walk for a swim in the sea and also longer coastal paths can be accessed directly from the house. Many superb sandy beaches are just a short drive away. We enjoyed a fantastic week which would be hard to beat.
