High above Monzie and set back along a private track for maximum privacy, Brae Cottage is a picturesque and comfortable self-catering holiday home for couples and individuals looking for somewhere to unwind in the rugged beauty of Scotland’s Perthshire.
Having been recently refurbished to a high standard inside and out, Brae cottage offers guests an authentic architectural experience with all of the comforts of the twenty first century.
Surrounded by the staggering topography of East Scotland, a region characterised by plunging wooded hills and dramatic skylines, Brae Cottage boast truly extraordinary vistas all year round, to be enjoyed from within the cottage itself, or from the new hot tub installed outside.
Inside, the main living space benefits from a hygge-inducing woodburning stove, while an expansive selection of DVDs and books means that when it comes to entertainment, there’s something for everybody. Next door in the high-spec kitchen, keen cooks will be dazzled by the fittings and amenities which have recently been installed.
Be sure to note the unique kitchen cabinets, fitted by the local Monzie Joinery, a traditional nearby business employing master-craftsman techniques. Upstairs, the bedroom has been finished in whitewash and ultra-contemporary exposed brickwork to give a modern feel to a substantial room with far reaching views of the surrounding hills. This room also benefits from fitted wardrobes, also designed by Monzie Joinery, who also created the door and window fixtures. The bathroom is sleek, white, and state of the art.
Brae Cottage is a delight to visit, nestled perfectly into a tranquil area where your only neighbours will be the fauna and birds which this part of Scotland is known for. While many guests choose to luxuriate in the cottage and immediate grounds, should you fancy venturing further afield, you’ll find the charming town of Crieff just a few miles away. There you can find local delicacies at J L Gill Grocer and Whiskey Merchant to prepare and enjoy back at Brae, or alternatively take the night off cooking with a pizza and glass of wine at Delivino, or superb French cuisine at Yanns bistro. For the more active holidaymakers, a range of fishing and golf courses can be found in the vicinity, which also plays host to the world famous Highland Games in August.

We are happy to discount for three nights or more, but costs are high for a changeover with the hot tub. We are a genuine business who pay 20% VAT on all bookings. Everything is regulated from the appliances to the water tested regularly. Our fire extinguishers are checked and we have wired fire alarm and carbon monoxide alarms. Everything is provided including toiletries, wood for the fire, slippers for the hot tub, etc.

Leave a reviewMy partner and I stayed at Brae Cottage the first weekend of reopening. We had an amazing stay here! Everything was so clean and tidy. It really felt like a home away from home. The hot tub overlooking the gorgeous hills and frolicking lambs was an added bonus. Lucy and Alexandra made everything so easy. We will definitely be back, hopefully in the nicer weather!
