- The wood fired hot tub perched on a boulder is a truly special feature, allowing you to soak in warm bubbles while gazing out across the sweeping valley landscape.
- An outdoor shower nestled amongst the rocks adds a refreshing, back-to-nature experience that perfectly complements the cabin’s wild and peaceful setting.
- Cleverly designed interiors make the most of the cosy space, with a fold-away bed, wood burning stove and large windows that frame the incredible surroundings.
- A covered outdoor kitchen and dining area lets you cook, eat and linger alfresco, fully immersed in the sights and sounds of the countryside.
- Set within private land, you can wander through woodland and rocky outcrops directly from your doorstep, enjoying total peace and quiet throughout your stay.
- With the Peak District National Park all around you, there are endless opportunities for scenic walks, hikes and visits to charming local pubs.

You should know
- The cabin is accessed via a 250m walk up a steep, rugged path from the parking area, so sturdy footwear is essential and it may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.
- The setting is deliberately off-grid and immersed in nature, so it can be very dark at night and care should be taken when moving around outside.
- The composting loo is located in a separate hut a short walk from the cabin, and a torch is provided for convenience.
- The cabin is compact (10ft by 10ft) with limited storage, and much of the living space is designed to be enjoyed outdoors.
- There is power for charging phones and laptops, and mobile signal is generally good, though Vodafone can be patchy.

This is an incredibly unique stay, beautifully crafted into the exisiting nature and is so isolated you feel like you are in a different world. Gerry was a fabulous host and the brownies his wife made were to die for! The Chatsworth farm shop isnt too far of a drive so make sure to stop on the way and stock up on lots of treats, drink, food and fabulous fresh meat to cook on the barbcue. We stayed for 3 nights and managed to store all our fresh food in the fridge for all our meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner and really enjoyed cooking and eating outside. The hot tub takes a little getting used to so make sure you don’t put too much wood in! Slowly is best and once mastered is so tranquil with its surroundings and the sunset on the horizon you wont want to get out! My wife especially liked the shower being outside surrounded by another amazing view and listening to the different birds as she sat on the porch in a morning. We took a beautiful walk from the cabin through Birchover village and then through the purple heather in the Stanton moor to the 9 ladies which is a must hike during your stay. We both loved everything about this stay and our only regret is that we can't live here permanently!. Thank you so much for creating such a beautiful place and sharing this with us. Boulder field cabin is a magical place! Our stay was so peaceful and relaxing, it really felt like a small slice of heaven. Rachael and Gerry were so lovely, Gerry welcomed us on arrival and showed us around and we felt at home immediately! It is completely secluded and private and was perfect for our relaxing getaway. We loved the outdoor shower and the hot tub but the highlight were the amazing views from each seating area and the window in the cabin. Despite a little rain it was still such a wonderful and cosy stay!! We would love to come back, boulderfield cabin will be at the top of our list for future special occasions.
