A once derelict range of chalk and brick barns, Bogg Hall Barn was purchased and lovingly renovated in 2020. Today they function as some of North Yorkshire's most luxurious self-catering group accommodation. The design - both exterior and interior - manages to strike a fine balance between the property's rustic heritage and its status as a contemporary retreat. Original features include the preserved exterior and courtyard, exposed brickwork, and the vaulted, timber framed ceilings.
The enclosed courtyard is sure to wow. Here, you can dine al fresco, cook up a storm around the BBQ, or simply enjoy a morning coffee. Should you wish to explore, the three-and-a-half-acre grounds feature natural wild planting and the charming village of Ganton is just a short walk away. Or, if you would rather stay put, perhaps the pool table or choice of two hot tubs will be enough to keep you entertained.
The Barn is entered through a large arched door. Here, you will come upon the main open-planned living area, with its high vaulted ceilings and timber beams. The living, dining, and games areas also share this gorgeous space. The living area has a large modular sofa with additional seating, a log burner and a Smart TV, while the adjacent dining table easily seats 22 guests. In the games area there is a seven foot pool table and a home bar.
Step through a sliding partition where you will find the spacious, modern kitchen. It boasts a large island (perfect for evening socials), induction range cooker, American fridge freezer, two dishwashers and an additional fridge and cooker. West facing French windows are at one end of the kitchen, while the other leads out into the glass pergola in the modern courtyard. Here, you will find outdoor furniture and the perfect spot to enjoy some al fresco dining.
There are 10 ensuite bedrooms in total, sleeping up to 22 guests. Two of the bedrooms are upstairs, eight are on the ground floor, while one is accessed via the courtyard in a separate annex. This charming space features two king size bedrooms and an ensuite for added privacy.
The grounds of Bogg Hall Barn offer plenty to do as well. There is a 15ft indoor Swimspa - a huge tub for relaxing or swimming - while there is also an outdoor hot tub with views across the grounds. From the grounds you can also enjoy unhindered vistas across the Vale of Pickering.
The local area offers a wide range of activities, should you wish to venture further afield. The region is known for its shooting, with nearby shoots such as Place Newton and Wykeham not far. Water Estate and Helmsley are both within an hour's drive too. Bog Hall Barn has a gun cabinet and outdoor dog kennels to accommodate shooting parties. The village of Ganton is small but features a village pub and two farm shops. A short stroll from the property you will also find Ganton Golf Course, one of England's best courses. For those wishing to explore the region, Ganton is roughly 15 minutes from the seaside town of Scarborough and 20 minutes from Malton - known as Yorkshire's food capital.
