Located in the heart of the vibrant seaside town of Newquay, Blue Door is a spacious townhouse that has recently been refurbished to accommodate up to 18 guests. The stylish, contemporary interior is the perfect place to relax with friends and family after a day at the beach or exploring Cornwall. Outside, you’ll find a private terrace garden with a hot tub, a welcome post-surf treat, and a BBQ with plenty of outdoor seating. The bustling streets of Newquay and the famous Fistral Beach are on your doorstep and there are many miles of spectacular coastline stretching out in both directions. This makes Blue Door a great base for groups of friends or extended family looking to explore the north coast of Cornwall.

Step inside and you’ll find a big open plan kitchen and dining space. The contemporary kitchen is kitted out with everything you’ll need including an induction hob and a dishwasher. The dining table is set in front of a beautiful exposed stone wall with a log burning stove for cosy dinners with the family. The large bay window at the end lets in plenty of natural light making this a bright and airy space in the mornings while you’re tucking into breakfast. Move through to the living room where you’ll find big comfy sofas set in front of a TV, perfect for a movie night.

There are six bedrooms, all with their own ensuites and various bed configurations to suit different groups. All of the bedrooms are calm spaces, using neutral tones in the modern decor and luxurious beds inviting you to relax. Five of the bedrooms feature king size beds with additional sofa beds in two of these. The final bedroom is a great hideaway for the kids with three bunks.

There are two outdoor spaces at Blue Door. There’s a terrace at the front of the house with some seating where you can enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning and soak up the sea views. On the rear terrace, you’ll find an outdoor shower and a surfboard rack, ideal for coming in from the beach and rinsing off before jumping in the hot tub. On warmer afternoons, fire up the BBQ and soak up the sunshine on the comfy outdoor seating.

Newquay is nestled on the rugged north coastline of Cornwall, with one of the country’s most famous surfing beaches on the doorstep. Fistral Beach is a stretch of golden sand with consistent waves crashing in from the Atlantic. Beginner surfers might want to head a few miles up the coast to Watergate Bay for more manageable waves and two miles of sandy beach. For a bit of culture, head up the coast to the charming fishing village of Padstow and then on to Tintagel Castle for spectacular views and Arthurian legends. Venture down the coast in the other direction and the beautiful town of St Ives has plenty of galleries and independent shops tucked away down its cobbled streets. Back in Newquay, you’ll find plenty of great seafood restaurants and cafes as well as a zoo and an aquarium for a day out with the kids.
