Part of an 18th-century cluster farmyard set amongst undulating fields, Bix Cottage is ideally situated so that you can explore the surrounding Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is also just a short walk from the charming riverside town of Henley-on-Thames. The property itself has many fab features from its vaulted ceilings to its exposed timber beams. At Bix Cottage, guests can also make use of the lovely outdoor seating area and access to the ground's beautiful outdoor swimming pool. Sleeping four guests across two bedrooms, small groups of friends and family alike will feel right at home in this delightful Oxfordshire gem.
Set entirely over one floor, Bix Cottage is perfect for those with mobility issues. An open-planned space houses the kitchen, dining and lounge areas. The lounge has two comfy couches, a cosy wood burner, and a Smart TV with access to Amazon Prime and Netflix - ideal for a film night. There are also a number of board games and playing cards so you can enjoy a games night too!
The modern kitchen comes fully equipped to make food prep a breeze, while a circular dining table comfortably seats four guests and makes a delightful spot for tasty dinners that stretch long into the evening. Come bed time, there are two bedrooms, each one beautifully decorated. Both contain king-size beds, one of which can be separated into two singles for the kids offering extra flexibility. A gorgeous family bathroom contains a WC, basin, and a shower over a bath.
Step outside and onto the courtyard area where you can unwind with your favourite tipple. You will also have access to the ground's fantastic outdoor swimming pool. This really is the perfect spot to lounge around on those warm summer days whilst breathing in that fresh country air.
The local area is not lacking for pubs and restaurants, many of which are within a short walk or drive. The riverside town of Henley-on-Thames is approximate three miles from Bix Cottage and is often named as one of Southern England's most picturesque towns. It is replete with plenty of charming eateries and independent shops. Henley hosts plenty of annual events too, including Henley Royal Regatta, the Henley Literary Festival and the Henley Food Festival. For the nature lovers, the local area is perfect for long country walks and the Chiltern Way has 134-miles of stunning scenery for you to enjoy.
