Battel Hall is a 700-year-old medieval hall house that has been expertly restored and tastefully modernised. Blending its mysterious past with contemporary luxuries, it is both lavish and extravagant yet cosy and modest. Imagine sumptuous leather sofas next to rustic roaring fires and gnarled wooden timbers above hand-painted designs. Arrow-slit windows tell of its hard-fought battles, while elegant antiques reflect its lordly standing.

Pass through the galleried hallway, with its grandiose medieval laver, to find a plethora of decorative living rooms that each have a vintage, period glamour. Breakfast in the morning room or sit out on the garden terrace, reading a book in the illustrious drawing room or dining at the banqueting table.

Rich reds and noble blues are softened by dainty pastel hues and are dressed with plush velvets, bold prints and decadent hints of gold. Interesting portrait paintings add a distinguished air and look over classic books with a creative flair. A modern country kitchen completes the living space and boasts a traditional chefs pantry and a designer range.

Head up to the first floor to discover the five opulent en-suite bedrooms, admiring the intricate ecclesial artwork hanging above the staircase. Each of the double rooms has its own unique style and is finished with massive king size beds and the finest bed linen.

Look out for the delicate Venetian mirrors adorning beautifully ornate walls and luxuriant curtain drapes framing large sash windows. Roll-top baths and marble floors feature in the elaborate en-suite bathrooms, and are packed with carefully selected toiletries and thick, fluffy towels. Theres even a neighbouring Battel Hall Oast for larger groups, with two additional double bedrooms for an extra four people.

Uncover the hidden secrets of this ancient country manor, exploring the sprawling grounds and neighbouring Leeds Castle.
