A rustic stone-built cottage located in Combe Martin, Illfracombe, Bantam Cottage forms part of the revered Coulscott House Holiday Cottages in North Devon. With an open-plan living space, a king-sized bed and an outdoor terraced area, this cottage forms a breathtaking romantic retreat mere minutes from some of the UK’s most beautiful stretches of coastline. Guests will love exploring the grounds, taking in the views, and visiting the friendly animals including alpacas, pygmy goats, lambs, kune kune pigs, runner ducks and guinea pigs.
With one king-sized four-poster bed sleeping two, Bantam Cottage is a peaceful bolthole suitable for couples. Furnished with Nina Campbell wallpaper and a sizeable Persian rug, the bedroom is a stylish and comfy space. There is a further cot room next door with a wooden cot, making this cottage ideal for couples with an infant. Downstairs, the open-plan living and dining space is furnished with a cosy sofa and armchair, alongside an impressive oak dining table and chairs. And when the cold weather rolls around, be sure to light the log burner and remain cosy and warm throughout your stay. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher alongside all cooking essentials, and guests further benefit from access to a laundry room shared with Aylesbury Cottage. Outside hosts a quaint set of garden furniture, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee in the North Devon sunshine.
When it comes to things to do, guests have access to a whole host of amenities on-site. Be sure to walk the extensive grounds, soaking in the views, before going for a dip in the heated indoor swimming pool. Kids will love the indoor soft play area, and the large wooden outdoor play area, as well as the games room, which has a table tennis table and table football. Throughout your stay you also have access to an honesty shop for additional provisions, a huge fire pit area to make marshmallow memories, and electric vehicle charging point.
Located in Combe Martin, Illfracombe, Bantam Cottage benefits from some of the most beautiful sites in North Devon. Apt for nature lovers, the area can be used for walking, fishing, horse riding, cycling and surfing alike. Arlington Court is inundated with gorgeous greenery, and Woolacombe Riding Stables offer up a space for budding horse riders to try their hand.
Close by, Woolacombe Sands hosts one of the most beautiful beaches in North Devon. Combe Martin Bay is a wonderful location for kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding, with the necessary equipment available for hire from the beachfront. The Exmoor National Park is scattered with secret inlets, hidden beaches and caves alike, offering up an exciting space for exploration.
