This historic former printworks has been exquisitely renovated to suit luxurious holidays for large groups of friends, family or co-workers, and complement its approximately 200-year history.

You will be greeted by the handsome restored edifice with large period windows and a clock crowning the property. These restorations are enhanced by modern extensions to the house, adding a heated indoor pool – perfect for athletes and kids alike - and a yoga studio to get you relaxed and in the holiday mood.

The activities on offer in the outdoor spaces are one of the highlights of this property. Warm up by jumping in the wood-fired hot tub after a tiring hike, before gathering around the firepit to toast marshmallows. Get a house competition going with pétanque and croquet pitches in the rear and front gardens. Or just enjoy the gardens themselves, a lovely space to tune out urban hubbub and wander through the orchard listening to birdsong or the babbling River Dane.

Impress your companions with delicious alfresco meals served on the terrace and prepared using the pizza ovens or South African style Braai BBQ. Alternatively, use the fully equipped, modern kitchen to rustle up a supper to be enjoyed at the long dining table, with its views of greenery through the glass wall or the contemporary sculptures on the other side. The spacious kitchen is also a lovely space to kick off the day with coffee and a pastry at the kitchen island while planning adventures.

If bad weather puts a hold on outdoor plans, head to the luxurious cinema room where you can watch your favourite films curled up on the comfy sofa having lit a toasty fire.

Indulge in lazy lie ins with your nose in a book in a sumptuous super king size bed as sunlight floods into the pretty bedrooms. Unwind before bed and soothe your aches from hiking with a walk-in rainfall shower in your luxurious ensuite bathroom.

The house contains 10 gorgeous en suite rooms with super king size beds, and at the top of the house a fabulous attic space with 10 further beds, each set in a private curtained alcove

The glorious landscape of the Peak District National Park is on your doorstep. Pack a picnic and head out for hikes over the valleys or around Macclesfield Forest – you might see wild trout leaping in the River Dane! There are also chances to ride, or play golf near to the village of Wildboarclough. You could also spend an afternoon in the nearby market town Macclesfield to visit the planetarium or silk museum before grabbing a refreshing pint at a welcoming country pub.
