Enjoy sea views from the end of your garden at Anchor Cottage - a unique seaside holiday home right on Whitstable Beach. Watch the sunset over the horizon in this stylishly furnished beach house on the Kent coast.
From the outside this former fisherman’s cottage is weather-boarded so it is very much in keeping with its surroundings. Sleeping up to four guests, those staying enter straight into the open plan kitchen, dining, and living area on the ground floor. The fully equipped kitchen comes complete with an induction hob and electric oven, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine. There is a raised breakfast table to dine at, while the lounge has a three-seater sofa and armchair sitting in front of the flat screen Smart TV.
The bathroom with walk-in shower is also on the ground level, while heading upstairs leads to the two bedrooms. Both are doubles and have plenty of storage, while the master bedroom also enjoys stunning views across the beach to the sea beyond. The other looks over the entrance via Collars Alley off Whitstable's popular Island Wall.
French doors on the ground level lead out into the fantastic outdoor space. There are two sets of outdoor tables and chairs for enjoying alfresco dining or an afternoon drink in the sun, while the sun loungers can be pitched up on the wooden deck for those who want to soak up the rays. Conveniently the pebbled beach of Whitstable Bay is just over the sea wall at the end of the garden.
Swimming is popular from Whitstable’s beaches in the summer months, with the water noticeably warmer than other English seaside resorts. For the more adventurous there are kayaks and paddle boards available to hire, while there are many opportunities for crabbing and fishing. Plenty of eateries can be discovered on the harbour, while its is recommended to sample Whitstable’s famed oysters. The town centre is home to many independent shops, including antique and bric-a-brac outlets, as well as plenty of restaurants and pubs.
