Located in the heart of the coastal fishing village of Rock, 11 Slipway is perfect for a family looking to explore some of the most beautiful beaches and coastlines in Cornwall. It’s within walking distance of the beach, the ferry across to Padstow and the famous St Enodoc golf course. The house is split over four levels, with a large balcony on the first floor overlooking the Camel Estuary, the perfect spot for enjoying a coffee in the morning or the sunset in the evening.
You’ll find the main living and kitchen space on the first floor with an open-plan layout and plenty of natural light thanks to the bi-fold doors stretching the full width of the house. On warmer days, open these up to extend your living and dining space out onto the balcony and tuck into breakfast while soaking up the views over the water. In the evenings, the space becomes cosy with the log burner crackling away and the big comfy corner sofa to snuggle up on.
There are three bedrooms, each on its own floor of the house and with its own bathroom. On the lower ground floor, you’ll find a super king bedroom with an ensuite shower room and patio doors leading out onto a terrace with sea views. Head upstairs to the ground floor and the entrance level of the house and there’s a double bedroom with a luxurious bespoke king size bed. The cosy twin room is located at the top of the house, perfect for the kids and with its own shower room.
You’ll find plenty to do and explore within walking distance of 11 Slipway. Stroll through the charming streets of Rock or hop on the ferry across the Camel Estuary to explore Padstow. There are some fantastic restaurants on either side of the water, including those run by top chefs such as Paul Ainsworth and Rick Stein. You can walk down to Rock Beach which is a long stretch of golden sand following the estuary and Polzeath Beach is also nearby. The house is also within walking distance of St Enodoc golf course and you’ll also have discounted use of the facilities at The Point which has its own 18 hole golf course.
