With a plethora of original features, including stone mullion windows, ornate plaster coving, a gothic stone fireplace and beautiful oak floors this marvellous apartment is ideal for families or small groups of friends. Additionally the private terrace and garden feature a wood-fired hot tub and offer stunning views over the estate parkland and the sea, giving you the seclusion and space to relax and unwind in style. A deep sense of peace pervades the ancient site, whilst the accommodation provides a sense of quiet luxury.
In the living room, you will find the carved stone fireplace, woodburner and basket of logs, whilst the kitchen/dining space overlooks the dramatic 12th century Franciscan Abbey ruins. When it comes to bed time, the bedrooms have cashmere and wool mattresses along with 800 thread count linens.
On chilly days individually controlled underfloor heating keeps you toasty, and on warm summer days the terrace doors can be left open, meaning the terrace becomes part of the living space. Sink into the master superkingsize bed, wrapped in fluffy towels, after relaxing in the Japanese soaking tub. The second bedroom has small double, twin beds and a second shower room. Also, all of the rooms have large smart TVs for movie nights or catching up on your favourite box sets.
After an alfresco breakfast on the terrace, wander five minutes up the road to explore Winchelsea’s cellar tours, 13th century church with stunning stained glass windows, farm shop, pub, and the nearby Charles Palmer’s vineyard wine tours. The private garden is a stunning spot to enjoy a glass of wine or spend the evening relaxing in the wood-fired hot tub. Your dog is welcome to join you, but will need to be kept off furniture and out of the bedrooms.
