Indulge in five-star luxury at L'Hotel, Paris' iconic dwelling whose guests over the years have included Oscar Wilde, Salvador Dali, and Frank Sinatra, to name a few. Dating back to 1828 the hotel was built on the exact location of La Reine Margot’s Pavillon d’Amour and since undergoing extensive refurbishment in 1967 has become a well loved institution.
With 20 bedrooms it is the smallest five-star hotel in France's capital and is famed for its discreet and opulent atmosphere. An impressive spiral staircase leads to six floors of individually designed rooms, each showcasing the glamourous and lavish style of L'Hotel. Mignon rooms look out over the Rue de Beaux Arts and have a distinctive theme, from Japanese inspired prints to leopard print wall coverings. Bijoux rooms range from Baroque to IndoChinese design, have views of the courtyard, as well as private use of the hammam pool.
There are 3 Grand rooms. These junior suites have a king size bed and also overlook Rue de Beaux Arts. The Pierre Loti room's design is inspired by the famed novelist, Saint Petersburg reflects 19th Century Russia, and Belle Epoque is decadent and grand. The Chic rooms are inspired by famous historical figures - Marco Polo, Mistinguett, Mata Hari, and Reine Hortense. They also have a separate living area, king size bed, and large bathroom with bath and walk-in shower.
The Oscar Wilde Suite is designed in the image of the hotel's most famous guest, complete with a private outdoor terrace, king size bed, and separate bath and walk-in shower. Finally, the Apartment is the largest suite, with inspiration for the decor taken from the robes of Louis-Antoine, Cardinal of Noailles, and a terrace overlooking the Paris rooftops and bell tower of Saint Germain-des Prés.
At the heart of L'Hotel, Le Restaurant offers Michelin star dining in romantic surroundings on the Left Bank. The hotel's bar is a favourite haunt of artists and film stars, while the secluded hammam pool and steam room can be found on the lower ground floor. Guests are also within a mile of some of the city's best restaurants and the famous Louvre Museum, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and much more.
