Imposing and magnificent from outside, and packed with contemporary amenities and smart design inside, Tuddenham Hall House is the ultimate self-catering home. This space is ideal for large families or friend groups looking to spend time in Suffolk staying in a no-compromise home which combines historic charm with contemporary luxury. The ultimate retreat for groups of up to ten guests, Tuddenham Hall House has spacious rooms, enviable views, and enough indoors and outside space for multi-generational groups to coexist happily.
The property is arranged around a central, double-height sitting room, with an abundance of comfy sofas and armchairs, the sort of place where guests spend evenings chatting with a bottle of wine and catching up long into the night sitting around the wood-burning stove. The same open plan chamber also incorporates the more formal dining area, and benefits from art on the walls, and the same rural high-end furniture which characterises the house. The kitchen offers everything that even ambitious home cooks could need to rustle up a slap up meal for ten, including an Aga, that mainstay of the English rustic home. As well as a Bosch fridge, expect a Nespresso coffee machine, and even a full sized charcoal grill outside for barbecuing on long summer evenings.
Outside, step into the quintessential English cottage garden, a real delight in every season, and a wonderful idyll in which to while away a few hours reading on your own or enjoying a picnic. Upstairs, you'll find that most configurations can be managed in the versatile beds, kings and super-kings which can be separated out into twin singles.
Days at Tuddenham Hall House are spent however you please, with no end of options both within the house and grounds and out in the surrounding area. If you have to work, or you're rained in for an afternoon, there's a classical library to get some peace and quiet, while on active days children and adults alike can let off steam playing tennis on the full sized courts or swimming in the outside pool. There are multiple sun-trap areas outside the house, both sheltered and exposed, meaning early birds or guests with important projects will have ample space.
Despite the feeling of tranquil peace, Tuddenham Hall House is close to the storied local towns of Orford and Aldeburgh, both of which sit on the coast. Both of these settlements have real charm, and make for the perfect day trip, with their quaint architecture, excellent local food shops and picturesque beaches. Even closer to home, guests will be delighted that there is a fantastic gastropub just a short walk away across private farmland.
