Timberley Farm is a gorgeous property nestled in its own private estate, surrounded by stunning countryside overlooking Amberley Castle. It has 11 bedrooms which sleep up to 29 people and would be ideal a company retreat, team building getaway or a big family celebration.
Enter the gates to the grounds and you'll find manicured lawns, pretty trees and countryside views as far as the eye can see. The farmhouse itself is a charming stone building with an annex.
The ground floor is home to a traditional country kitchen with a green Aga and separate ovens and hobs. It comes fully stocked with everything you could need to prepare and serve a wonderful meal and if cooking isn't on the agenda you could always invite a professional chef to come and take care of you! The dining room has space to seat everyone and is a great spot to come together for that first welcome drink and soak up the atmosphere.
A cosy drawing room with a large wood burner is perfect for chilly evenings and is an ideal spot to curl up with a good book on one of the chesterfield sofas, or gather round the piano for a sing song when the post-dinner drinks are flowing. Further down the hall you'll find the family room, another large space, with a flat screen TV and plush sofas for a group movie night with popcorn.
All 11 bedrooms have been decorated to a high standard with big comfortable beds where you can get a good night's sleep before the next day's events. Eight of the bedrooms are situated in the main house with an accessible room on the ground floor for anyone with mobility issues. The other three rooms are housed in an annex which is right next door and whoever gets the master bedroom with have the benefit of a fabulous roof terrace with some incredible views of the South Downs! There are four bathrooms in total, some with walk-in showers and others with deep tubs for lazy soaks. There are also two separate toilets for added convenience.
Step outside and across the courtyard you'll find a fantastic dedicated games room. This charming space, with its exposed beams, is very well equipped and contains a full size snooker table, a dart board, table football, a sound system and loads of sofas to lounge about in with a cold beer.
The outside of the farmhouse is just as wonderful as the inside with plenty to do and see for everyone. Stroll around the private estate, play a game of tennis on the private court, take a dip in the heated pool or simply enjoy the unparalleled views across the downs from the comfort of the hot tub.
If you can bring yourself to leave there's a lovely riverside walk from the farmhouse which will eventually lead you to the picturesque village of Bury where you can enjoy a fortifying pint at the Squire and Horse whilst you peruse their excellent menu. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in the surrounding area including The Bridge Inn, a lovely secluded country pub with nice views, or the George & Dragon surrounded by rolling hills in Arundel. At the end of the day you can head back to your fabulous country pad, light the BBQ, gather round the fire pit and talk long into the night.
