Olivo de la Roca is a large and spacious holiday villa cleverly designed to combine traditional Spanish style with modern, cool and comfortable décor. Sleeping up to eight in four gorgeous bedrooms, the villa is ideal for a friends holiday or a larger family get together.

When you arrive you'll walk through the beautiful entrance hall into a fantastic open-plan living and dining area which will give you your first glimpse of the attention to detail that has gone into making this villa so special. From the wood-beamed ceiling to the unique stone tiled floors, everything has been thoughtfully and tastefully considered.

There are big comfy sofas, a flat screen TV, a large dining table and some bright modern art dotted about. Incredible views can be seen of the surroundings and French windows lead you out on to the terrace, which is something special. A lovely al fresco dining area with dark wicker chairs and loungers overlooks a fabulous swimming pool with Roman steps. Loungers sit on either side of the pool and a huge daybed is at the far end from which you can watch the others splash about whilst you lie back and read a book or doze in the afternoon sun. If it gets a bit chilly the pool can be heated so you can even enjoy an evening dip in cooler climes before heading in to laze around the glass-sided fire.

The kitchen is large, fully equipped and beautifully decorated with a freestanding counter and plenty of room for everyone to get their morning coffee without incident before heading out on to a lovely patio, with plump cushioned seating, to enjoy the morning sun. All four bedrooms are light and airy with big comfortable four poster beds. The master has a private terrace with views of the mountains, an en-suite with a big tub and a walk in shower all tiled in a lovely sky blue. Of the other three bedrooms, each has its own en-suite bathroom, one of them with a private terrace on the first floor and another one with a lovely balcony with views of the mountains.

Whichever room you choose you'll be very comfortable and fall asleep to the sound of the crickets. The villa has all the privacy of the countryside but is only a few minutes' drive from the ancient town of Pollensa where you'll find narrow streets and an impressive main square lined with bars and restaurants. Visit the Roman bridge, which is still in use, and explore the Puig de Pollensa – a small mountain topped by a monastery, just outside the town centre. Book a table at La Placeta Restaurante and treat yourself to a wonderful local Paella or a great sirloin steak and let the day melt into evening before returning to your oasis in the countryside.
