Enjoy a restful break with all the family in this beautiful 16th-century farmhouse that sits in stunning Welsh countryside close to the border with England. Sleeping 10 guests in five bedrooms, this rustic home has lots of historic charm thanks to the exposed wooden beams and huge stone fireplace. However, modern amenities, such as the luxurious hot tub, guarantee you and your loved ones an enjoyable stay.
The home’s farmhouse-style kitchen, complete with a dining area, sets the scene for celebratory dinners or leisurely Sunday lunches and is the social hub of the home. It’s nicely equipped with everything you’ll need to prepare hearty breakfasts or huge feasts, including an electric range cooker with double oven, a warming oven and grill, a five-ring hob with warming plate, a microwave, an American fridge/freezer and a dishwasher so no one is left with the washing up. In the kitchen there’s also a big dining table that’s large enough to seat your entire group.
After dinner, move into the cosy sitting room with its huge striking fireplace. Throw some logs on the woodburner and settle in for an evening socialising with your loved ones plotting the next day’s adventures or enjoy a movie night on the TV. If you fancy a bit of peace from the rest of the group, there’s also a snug that seats six with its own TV, offering a fab spot to relax with a good book.
The home’s five enchanting bedrooms are spread across three floors. There’s a ground floor bedroom with a double bed that’s ideal for those with mobility issues and a delightful master bedroom with a king size bed that is complete with its own ensuite bathroom. There are then two twin bedrooms and one second floor king size room. After a day out exploring there are few places nicer to relax than in the roll top bathtub in the family bathroom. Settle in for some indulgence in the warm waters as you rest and unwind in peace.
Stepping outside, the home features a front and side patio adorned with comfortable furniture, a BBQ area and a luxurious hot tub. Let your worries melt away as you soak in the bubbling waters, indulging in breathtaking views of the unspoiled countryside whilst local produce sizzles away on the BBQ.
The picturesque village of Beguildy boasts a charming black and white timbered pub, serving delightful real ales and home-cooked food. A well-stocked village shop and a Post Office cater to all your daily needs. Countless scenic walks and bike rides are available from your doorstep, making this cottage an ideal base for exploring the wonders of this magnificent part of Wales.
You’re also situated just across the border from the Shropshire Hills, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, that beckons you to don your walking boots and embark on unforgettable adventures.
No matter the season, this enchanting farmhouse provides a wonderful year-round holiday haven for everyone to cherish.
