Large groups and families will be delighted to stay at Howesyke, a newly renovated 18th century farmhouse in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Sleeping up to 18 guests in luxury, style and comfort, the house is set on 2,000 acres of beautiful farmland and offers the perfect location for reunions, celebrations and get-togethers.
With nine bedrooms, all en suite and wonderful entertaining rooms there is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy their stay. The large kitchen with extensive dining area is perfect for entertaining friends and family, with the added benefits of the large sitting room, snug, bar and outdoor BBQ offering a little something for everyone in the depth of the world-famous Yorkshire Dales.
Built in 1727, the farmhouse at Howeskye has recently been refurbished, tastefully mixing its traditional heritage with beautiful interiors. The house sits behind Bishopdale Beck, set back against the fells with land rising to 1400 feet dramatically behind it affording some wonderful views all around the house. There are eight bedrooms in the main house, as well as a ninth bedroom and bathroom in The Bothy opposite.
The entrance hall leads to a large hall with a sweeping staircase and a bar area, while double doors take guests to the sitting room and the kitchen/dining room. There's plenty of space to relax in the comfy sitting room, and underfloor heating throughout the ground floor adds to the cosy ambience. For those cold winter evenings, there is a log burner to snuggle up to, while the outside space is perfectly set up for enjoying the warm balmy days of summer. The games room in the converted barn will keep guests of all ages entertained, with its snooker table and table tennis.
Found half-a-mile away from the main road, Howeskye is set within 2,000 acres of private farmland in Bishopdale in the Yorkshire Dales. Just a short drive away, there is a vast choice of public footpaths as well as the Aysgarth Falls. Keen cyclists are spoilt for choice with epic routes to traverse, taking in the awe-inspiring views and clean air. Of course, it wouldn't be a stay in this part of the world without discovering some postcard villages, traditional pubs and local market towns.
